RESOLUTION NO. 59-62 INITIATING PROCEEDINGS FOR THE <br />ANNEXATION OF TERRITORY TO THE CITY OF SANTA ANA, DESIG- <br />NATING THE NAME 0F "DELHI AND GREENVILLE S. W. ANNEX" <br />AS APPROPRIATE NAME FOR SAID TERRITORY, A_ND GIVING NOTICE <br />OF THE TIME AND PLACE OF HEARING PROTESTS THERETO <br /> <br /> ~HEREAS, heretofore the owners of the territory hereinbelow <br />described furnished to the City of Santa Ana a description of said <br />territory and requested that Uninhabited territory annexation be <br />started to annex said territory; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Boundary Commission of Orange County has approved <br />the description hereinbelow set out as to definiteness and certainty, <br />and the Planning Con~ission of the City of S~ta Ana has approved <br />the annexation of said territory; <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, ~ IT RESOLVED: That the City Council of the <br />City of Santa Ana hereby initiates proceedings for the annexation <br />of the real property herein described to said City for the follo~ lng <br />reasons: <br /> <br /> 1. That the owners of all of said territory have verbally re- <br />quested annexation, but that some of them are temporarily absent, and <br /> <br />for that reason unable to sign a petition for annexation. <br /> <br /> 2. That the area can best be served by the City of Santa Ana <br />with municipal services of the highest caliber anywhere obtainable. <br /> <br /> 3. That said territory is not contiguous to say city other <br />thau Santa Ana. <br /> <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: That the City Council hereby declares <br />its intention to annex all of the territory he re inbe low described <br />under the provisions of the Annexation of Uninhabited Territory Act <br />of 1939, and hereby finds and declares that said territory is unin- <br />habited within the meaning of Government Code Section 35303, on the <br />date of the adoption of this Resolution; that said territory is <br />contiguous to the City of Santa Ana, lies in the County of Orange, <br />State of California, and is described as: <br /> <br /> Beginning at the intersection of the center line of Delhi <br /> Road with the northerly extension of the west line of 0~d ~ <br /> Newport Road, 60.00 feet wide, said point of beginning being <br /> an angle point in the city boundary of the City of Santa Aha, <br /> California, and also being the northeast corner of Lot 3 in <br /> Tract 1013 recorded in Book 33, page 36, ~iscel laneous ~aps, <br /> <br /> <br />
