Bo~k 16~ Page 483 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 59-69 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA <br />ANA DETERMINING AND DECLARING THAT WEEDS WHICH WHEN <br />MATURE BEAR WINGY OR DOWNY SEEDS WHICH WILL ATTAIN <br />SUCH 'A LARGE GROWTH AS TO BECOME A FIRE M~NA. CE WHEN <br />DRY, OR WHICH ARE NOXIOUS OR DANGEROUS, ARE GROWING <br />UPON CERTAIN STREETS, SIDEWALKS. AND PR/VATE PROPERTY <br />IN SAID CITY OF SANTA ANA, AND ARE A PUBLIC NUISANCE: <br />DIRECTING THE DIRECTOR OF PUBLIC WORKS TO POST NOTICES <br />TO DESTROY SAID WEEDS AS REQUIRED BY LAW: FIXING THE <br />TIME FOR HFARING OBJECTIONS AND PROTESTS, AND DIRECT~ <br />ING THE ABATEMENT THEREOF IN ACCORDANCE WITH CHAPTER <br />13, PART 2. DIVISION 3, TITLE 4 OF THE GOVERNMENT CODE <br />OF THE STATE OF ~CALIFORNIA. <br /> <br /> THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: <br />SECTION 1. <br /> <br /> Pursuant to the provisions of Chapter 13, Part 2, Division 3, Title ~ <br />of the Government code of the State of California, the City Council of the <br />City of Santa Ana hereby determines and declares that weeds which when <br />mature bear wingy or downy seeds, which will attain such a large growth <br />as to become a fire menace when dry or which are otherwise noxious or <br />dangerous, are growing upon certain streets, sidewalks and private property <br />in said City, and are hereby declared to be a public nuisance, and that the <br />names of such streets as they are commonly known are hereinafter set forth <br />and the property fronting upon such streets or sidewalks, or in front of <br />which such nuisance exists are hereinafter particularly described by lot <br />and block nmmbers according to the official assessment map; <br /> <br /> <br />
