RESOLUTION ORDERING IMPROVEMENT <br /> No. 1640. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Beard of Trustees of the City of Santa Ana, on <br /> the 1st day of March, 1926, passed its Resolution of Intention Ne. <br /> 1633 to order the hereinafter described improvement te be made and <br /> public work te be done in the City of Santa Ara; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, after the' passage and adoption ef said Resolution of <br /> Intention No. 1633, the Street Superintendent of the City of Santa Aha <br /> cQnspicuously posted along the line of the contemplated work and im- <br /> provement, at not mQre than three hundred (300) feet in distance apart <br /> and 9 in all, notices of the passage of said Resolution, headed, <br /> <br /> NOTICE OF PUBLIC WORK, in manner, fo~m and substance, as pro- <br /> vided by law and said Street Superintendent alse caused a notice simi- <br /> lar in substance to be published for a period of ten (10) days in the <br /> Santa Ana Daily Evening Register~ ~ daily newspaper published and cir- <br /> culated in the City of Santa Ana, and designated fo~ that purpose, by <br /> the Board of Trustees of the said City, all as more fully' appears by <br /> the affidavit of Edna L. Herrick, principal clark of the printers and <br /> publishers of said daily newspaper, and which affidavit was filed in <br /> the office of the Clerk of the City of Santa ~a, on the 16th day of <br /> March, 1926, and i~ now on file therein; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Street Superintendent of the city of Santa Ara <br /> caused the notice hereinbefore referred to, te he published in the <br /> Santa Ana Daily Evening Register for a period of ten days the first <br /> publica$ien appearing in said newspaper ~n the 5th day of March, 1926; <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, more than ten days has now expired since the expira- <br />tion of the time of the publication of said notice, which is the time <br />within which objections to sa~ work and improvement might be made, <br />and no objections having been made in writing, and no person appeari~ <br />before the Board $o object orally to s aid improvement, and this being <br />the first meeting of the Board of Trustees, after the expiration of <br />the time when protests m~ght be~recelved and the Board of Trustees of <br />the City of Santa Ara having now acquired Jurisdiction to order the <br />proposed improvement, it is hereby: <br /> <br /> RESOLVED AND ORDERED, that the~publlc interest and convenience <br />requires the work hereinafter described and the said Board hereby or- <br />ders the following work done and improvement made in,the City of Santa <br />&ua as follows: <br /> <br /> That that certain alley in the City of Santa Ara be ?acated <br />and abandoned as follows: <br /> <br /> That certain fourteen (14) foot alley as shown through Block <br />"A" of Bailey Addition, a~ per map thereof on file in Miscellaneous <br />Records Book 21, page 12, Records of Los Angeles County, California, <br />and the same is hereby vacated and abandoned. <br /> <br /> The public work ordered and the improvement made is for the <br /> <br />purpo~ up and abandoning that certain open alley which is <br /> <br /> <br />
