188 Whereas, by Ordinance No. V95 of the City of Santa Ana a special election was called and ordered to be held at, within, and for the City of ~anta Aha on the 26th day of May, 1926, for the pur- pose of submitting to the qualified voters of said City the proposi- tion of incurring a bonded debt and issuing the bonds of the City ~ Santa Aha in the sum of $182,000.00, for the purpose ~'the completion sewer system of the City of Santa Aha including the outfall of the sewer; Whereas, said special election so called was, on the 26th day of May, 1928, duly held in all respects as provided by and in accordance with said Ordinance No. 79~ and as provided by law, and was fairly conducted and carried on, and the returns thereof made to the Clerk of said City and on the 1st day of June, 1926, duly canvass. by the Board of T~stees of the City of Santa Anaj Whereas, said returns and the canvass thereof ~how, and it waz by the Board of Trustees found, entered and established of record in the minutes of said meeting, that at the special election the votes of more than two-thirds of all the voters voting there at were voted and cast YES and in favor of the proposition of incurring a bonded debt by the City of Santa Aha in the sum of $182,000.00 for the completion of the sewer system of the City of Santa Aha, inclu~n the votes at the special election being voted and the outfall sewer, cast as follows: PROPOSTTZON. Shall the City of Santa Aha incur a bonded debt for the completion of the sewer system of the City of Santa Aha, including the out- fall sewer, in the sum of $182,000.007 Votes cast YES and in favor of the proposition 3733 Votes cast NO and against the proposition 615 Total votes cast 4348 Total votes cast at the special election 4483 Now therefore, the Board of Trustees of the City of Santa Ana do resolve, determine and declare as follows: Section 1. The public interest and also the public necessity demands the completion of the sewer system of the City of Santa Aha, includin the outfall sewer, the completion thereof to consist of the acquisi- tion and installation in the sewer treatment plant of additional sewel screens for screening sewage, the acquisition and installation of a sewer pump and the machinery and power to operate said pump for pumping sewage, the acquisition of sewer pipe, fittings and appliance: and the installation and constr~ction of additional sewer pipelines for conveying sewage, in order to carry out the objects, purposes and powers of the City of Santa Aha, the cost to the City of Santa Aha of the completion of the sewer system of the City of Santa Ana, ineludin~ the outfall sewer, b4ing the sum of $182,000.00, which cost is and will be too great to be paid out of the ordinary annual income and revenue of the City of Santa Ans. ~d
