RESOLUTION NO. ~9-I1~I ~DOPTING SECTIONAL DISTRICT NAPS <br />AS AN E~RGENCY MEASU~ TO AUTHORIZE THE ISSUANCE OF <br />BUILDING PER~IITS IN NEWLY ANNEXED AREA <br /> <br /> WHEP, F. AS, heretofore the City of Santa Aha annexed an area <br /> <br />%Vest of the Santa Ana River under the title of "West Santa Ana Annex" <br />by the adoption of Ordinance No. NS-367; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, said area had previously been zoned by the County of <br />Orange and had been studied during the period of annexation proceedings <br />by the Planning staff of the City of Santa &ua; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, it is the e~o ressed intent of the City of Ssa ta Aha to <br />cause no unnecessary delay and inconvenience to the residents and <br />property owners within said newly annexed area by reason of change <br />of local goverr~ent entity; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, numerous building plans have arrived at a stage where <br />request for issuance of a permit is the next step, and no comprehen- <br />sive zoning has yet been established under the City of Santa Ana <br />procedures for the area; <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the City Council of the <br />'City of Santa Aha hereby adopts Sectional District _~aps 9-3~-10, 10-5-10, <br />l~-5-10, and 16-~-lO for the sole purpose of s~aowing the present in- <br />tended zones within said newly annexed area, and as an emergency measure <br />to establish a basis for the issusace of building per, nit without <br />causing the long delay and inaction necessary to the completion of <br />final zoning adoption, and the Building Department is hereby directed <br />to issue building permits within s'aid area and to perform inspections <br />within said area upon the same terms and conditions as would be used <br />within the former City Limits for a~d within the zones or districting <br />classification shown on said four Sectional District Naps. <br /> <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: That said action is necessary to prevent <br />great financial loss, inconvenience and hardship to the residents and <br />owners ~ thin said newly annexed area, and to promote the safety, <br />heal th and general welfare within said area. <br /> <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: That the intent to zone, as presently <br />shown on said maps, and as declared by emergency adoption of said maps <br />is subject to modification and e~hs~g% after further study and public <br /> <br /> <br />
