The Street Superintendent in making up the assessment for the cost and expenses of said improvement shall first deduct from the whole cost and e~penses thereof the sum of $10,000.00 and shall, after any other deductions hereinafter in this Resolution ordered, assess the reminder of said cos~ and expenses upon the lots, parts of lots and land liable to be assessed for said work, and in the manner provided by !aw, as is hereinbefore set forth in this ResolUtion of Intention. TIME":iND PLACE OF HEARING Section 7. Notice is hereby given that on ~ionday, the 21st day of March, 1927, at 7:30 o~clock P.~., in the Council Chamber of the City Hall of the said City of Santa Aha, any and all persons having any objections to the said proposed work or improvement may appear before the Board of Tru~ees and show cause why said proposed i~nproveme~t should not be carried out in accordance with this ~esolution; that all persons desiring to so appear should file with the City Clerk of the City of Santa An before the hearing herein sot, a written protest against the said work or the assessment district proposed to be assessed, or both. pUBLICATION OF RESOLUTION OF IN~ENTION Section 8. The Santa Ana Daily Evening Register, a daily newsps~er published and circulated and of general circulati~ in the City of Santa Ana is hereby designated as the newspaper in which this Resolution of Intention shall be published and the City Clerk of said City is hereby directed to cause this Resolution of Intention to be published by two insertions in said mew~palser in the manner ~d form required by law. The Board of Trustees does not deem it advisable that the Cl~rk mail copies of the notice of ir.provement to owners or reputed owners and he is not required to mail the same. POSTING O~ ~IC~S OF I~P~O~ E~T Section 9. The Street Su~mlntendent of said City shall, after the adoption of this Resolution of Intention, cause to be c~sptcuously posted along the lines of said conte~nplsted work or improvement, and along all the open ~treets and alleys within th~ hereinbefore described Assessment District, notices of the passage of this Resolution of Intention, in the m~n~r and form re~ ired by law.
