RESOLUTION OF AWA~) <br />NO. 1744 <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Board of Trustees of the City of Santa Ana <br />did in open session at an adjourned regular meeting thereof, on the <br />30~h day of March, 1927, publicly open, examine and declare all <br />sealed proposals or bids for doing the following work, under <br />Resolution of Intention No. 1721, in the City of Santa Ana, to-wit: <br /> <br /> That Oxford Street from the East line of South Main Street <br />to the West line of Maple Street, except such portions of said <br />street as are already paved to the official grade, be graded and <br />paved from curb line to curb line, as shown on the plans. The <br />grading and paving shall consist of grading to a sub-grade five <br />inches below the finished grade as shown on the plans, and the <br />construction thereon of a Portland Cement Concrete Pavement, having <br />a thickness of five inches, together with such other incidental <br />work or improvements as set forth in the plans and specifications. <br /> <br /> RESOLVED: That the said Board of Trustees hereby <br />rejects all of said proposals or bids except the next herein <br />mentioned, and hereby awards the contract for doing said work and <br />improvement to the lowest responsible bidder, to-wit, GRIFFITH <br />COMPANY, at the price named in its bid as follows, to-wit: <br /> <br /> Item 1. The grading to a subgrade and the laying thereon <br /> of a Portland Cement Concrete Pavement.having a thickness of five <br /> (5) inches complete with the furnishing of all necessary equipment, <br /> labor and material for the sum ~f Eighteen centa($.lS) per square <br /> foot. <br /> <br /> The Clerk of the City of Santa Ana is hereby directed to <br /> post a notice of this award conspicuously for five (5) days on or <br /> near the door of the Council Chamber of the Board of Trustees of the <br /> City of Santa Ana, and also publish said notice twice in the Santa <br /> Ana Daily Evening Register, a daily newspaper published and <br /> circulated in the City of Santa Aha, and hereby designated for that <br /> purpose by said Board of Trustees. <br /> <br /> I hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution is a full, <br /> true and correct copy of Resolution of Award No. 1744 duly intro- <br /> duced and regularly passed by the Board of Trustees of the City of <br /> Santa Ana, at an adjourned regular meeting thereof held on the 30th <br /> day of March, 192~, by the following vote: <br /> <br /> AYES, TRUSTEES: C.H.Chapman, Geo.
