K~8OLUTION OF AWARD <br /> NO. 1871 <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Santa Ana did, iz <br />open session, at an adjourned regular meeting thereof, on the 2~r~ <br />day of January, lgYS, publicly open, examine and declare all sealed <br />proposals or bids for doing the following work, under Resolution of <br />Intention No. 1855, in the City of Santa Aha, to-wit: <br /> <br /> That the portions of streets in the City of Santa Aha upon <br />whichwork shall be done and improvement shall be made thereunder ar, <br />upon and along those open public streets commonly known as and calle, <br />Halladay Street from a point 510.42 feet South of the South line of <br />First Street to the South line of First Street; Garfield Street from <br />the North line of First Street to the center line of Sixth Street; <br />Sixth Street from the center line of Garfield Street to the center <br />line of Poinsettia Street; and Poinsettia Street from the center lin, <br />of Sixth Street to the center line of Fruit Street. <br /> <br /> That the work to be done and the improvements to be made <br />upon and along the above described portions of said streets shall be <br />as follows: <br /> <br /> The excavation of trenches and furnishing and laying <br />therein of Salt Glazed Vitrified Clay Pipe Main Sanitary SeWer, <br />including concrete manholes, cc~crete manholes with drop connections. <br />connections to existing manholes, connecting existing house service <br />connections to the Main to be installed, "Y" branches and all <br />necessary appurtenances thereto, all of such sizes and constructed <br />to such grades and locations as are indicated on the plans. <br /> <br /> That in all cases where any type of pavement is cut for' <br />any purpose during the construction, the repair and replacement of <br />such pavement, using the same type of construction as was originally <br />laid, except that all replacement patches shall be two inches thickeJ <br />than the pavement removed, and extreme cage shall be used in back <br />filling excavations where pavement is to be relaid, in order to <br />obtain a ~rm and unyielding subgrade. <br /> <br /> T~et~er with such other work or improvements as are noted <br />on the plans or specifications, mhich shall be considered as incident <br />to the above described work and improvement, and no additional <br />compensation will be allowed therefor. <br /> <br /> The'work to be done as herein set forth shall include the <br />furnishing of all equipment, labor and materials necessary for or <br />appurtenant to the Ionstruction and completion of al2 work herein <br />specified. <br /> <br /> RESOLVED: That the said City Council hereby rejects all <br />of said proposals or bids except the next herein mentioned, and <br />hereby awards the contract for doing said work and improvement to <br />the lowest responsible bidder, to-wit: PERNEL BAR1TE~ at the price <br />names in his bid as follows, to-wit: <br /> <br />al <br /> <br /> <br />
