RESOLUTION OF AWARD NO. 187~ WHEREAS, the City Council of the City,of Santa Ana did, in open session, at an adjourned regular meeting thereof, on the 30th day of January, 1928, publicly open, examine and declare all sealed proposals or bids for doing the following work, under Resolution of Intention No. 1882, in the City of Santa Ana, to-wit$~ That Towner Street from the center line of Eighth Street to the center line of Tenth Street, be improved by the excavation of trenches and furnishing and laying therein of Salt Glazed Vitrified Clay Pipe Main Sanitary Sewer, including the connection to the existing .sewer at the North line of Eighth Street, concrete manhole, concrete manhole with hand f!usher, "Y" branches and all necessary appurtenances thereto, all of such sizes and constructed to grades and locations as are particularly indicated on and in accordance with the plans and specifications hereinafter mentioned, excepting therefrom any of said work,ready done to the official grade. Together with such other work and Improvement as are noted on the plans and specifications which shall be Considered as incidental to the above described work and improvement and no additional compensstion shall be allowed therefor. The work to be done as herein set forth shall include the furnishing of all labor, equipment and materials necessary for or appurtenant to the construction and completion of all work herein specified. Heference is hereby made to a license agreement on file in the office of the City Clerk and executed by the proper officers of~the General Sewer Flusher Company, permitting the use of a patented article made by the said Company and known as "The MaddoE Sewer Flusher". RESOLVED: That the said City Council hereby reject all of said prop~als or bids e~cept the next herein mentioned, and hereby awards the contract for doing said work and improvement to the l~vest responsible bidder, to-wit: DANIEL DOKOVICH, at the price named in his bid as follows, to-wit: Item No. 1. The trenching, furnishing and laying c~ Six (6) inch diameter salt glazed vitrified clay pi~e main sewer, together with all necessary "Y" branches and appurtenances thereto, complete with the furnishing of all necessary equipment, labor and material for the sum of Eighty-five cents ($0.85) per linear foot. Item No. 2. The excavation for and the construction of Standard coo~rete sewer manhole, complete with the ~urnlsking of all necessary equipment, labor and material for l~he mum of Sixty-five Dollars ($65.00) complete.
