229 RESOLUTION OF AWARD WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Santa Ara did, in open session, at a regular meeting thereof, on the 6th day of February, 1928, pu~ icly open, examine and declare all sealed ~ro- posala or bids for doing the following work, under Resolution of Intention No. 1865, in the City of Santa Ana, to-wit: The furnishing, installation and construction of an ornamental lighting system on Bush Street from the Northerly line of First Street to the Southerly line of Sixth Street; Spurgeon Street from the Northerly line of First Street to the Southerly line of Sixth Street; French Street from the Northerly line of First Street to the Southerly line of Sixth Street; together with the necessary appurtenances to said lighting system, including the installation of King Ornamental double lighting standards, of the tyl and kind known as King Ornamental Standard Design Drawing No. KOlVl, complete, including concrete foundations, anchor bolts, potheads, wiring, lamps, globes, canopies, conduits, cables and other necessar items to complete the lighting system, including the making of necessary connections between standards and to the service point; also the furnishing and installation of conduit, cable and making the necessary connections to existing circuits as shown on the plans and specifications on Third Street from the Easterly line of French Street t~ a line parallel to and distant 100 feet Westerly from the Westerly line of Bush B~et, and the repairing of all curbs, side- walks, culverts pavements or other improvements cut or damaged durin the construction, and also the construction of cement curbs, cement sidewalks and cement driveways, at the locations as particula indicated on the plans and specifications, together with such other work and improvement as shown on the plans and specifications, which shall be considered as incidental to the above described work and improvement. That for the installation of the hereinbefore described lighting system a patented article will be used, and a license agreement between the "este~n Lighting Company, selling agents for King Company and General Electric Company, patent owners, and the City of Santa Ana, pemmitting the use of a patented article for which said Western Lighting Company is selling agent and represent- ative, and known as the King Company's Ferronlte Standards with General ~lectric Company's Novalux Units is now on file in the offic~ of the City Clerk, to which said agreement reference is hereby made. RESOLVED: That the said City Council hereby reject all of sa~d proposals or bids except the next herein mentioned, and hereby awards the contract for doing said work and improvement to the lwwest responsible bidder, to-wit: WALEER AND MARTIN at the price named in their bid as follows, to-wit: ly
