RESOL~'~ION .N.O. 1884

<br />WHEREAS, five electors of a district adjoining the City
<br />
<br />of Santa Ana, on the North, in which it is proposed to circulate a
<br />
<br />petition asking for annexation of the territory included in such
<br />
<br />district as hereinafter described, have filed with the City Council
<br />
<br />of the City of Santa Ana, a notice declaring their intention to
<br />
<br />circulate and file a petition asking for the annexation c~ the
<br />
<br />territory included in such district and described in said notice,
<br />
<br />to the City of Santa Ana, which district is described as follows,
<br />
<br />to-wit:
<br />
<br /> Beginning at a point in the ~esterly line of North
<br />Main Street, said point being 100 feet North of the Northerly
<br />Boundary line of the City of Santa Ana, Orange County,
<br />California; running.thence Northerly along the Westerly
<br />line of North Main Street to an intersection with the Southerly
<br />line of Chapman Avenue; running thence Westerly along the
<br />Southerly line of Chapman Avenue to an intersection with the
<br />Westerly line of property deeded by T. R. Lawrence to Frank
<br />M. Luton and wife, September ~rd, 1925, as recorded in Book
<br />No. 605, Page 32V of Deeds, Records of Orange County,
<br />California; thence Southerly along said Westerly line to
<br />the Southwest corner of said Luton property; thence South 4°
<br />58' W. 162.02 feet to an intersection with the Easterly
<br />Boundary line of a record of Survey of a part of the Lock-
<br />hart Tract as recorded in Book No. 4, Pages 512, 513,
<br />Miscellaneous Records of Los Angeles County, California, and
<br />said record of Survey as filed November 19th, 1926, in Book
<br />No. 5, Page 8, Record of Surveys of Orange County, California;
<br />thence Southerly, Westerly, and Southerly along the Easterly
<br />Boundary of said Record of Survey to the most Southerly
<br />corner thereof, which is also s point in the Northeasterly
<br />boundary line of the Southern Pacific Railway Company's
<br />right-of-way; thence Southerly in a straight line across
<br />said Southern Pacific Railway Company's right-of-way to
<br />the most Northerly corner of Lot 22, Pats, Borden, and
<br />Sidwell Tract as recorded in Book 4, Page 624, Miscellaneous
<br />Records of Los Angeles County, California; thence in a
<br />general Southwesterly direction along the Westerly lines
<br />of Lots 22, 20, IV and 28 of said Tract to an intersection
<br />with the Northerly boundary line of the City of Santa Ana,
<br />California; thence Easterly along said Northerly boundary
<br />line of the City of Santa Aha to~n intersection with the
<br />Easterly line of land deeded to Aaron Angel by deed
<br />recorded in Book No. 188, Page 2§9, Records of Orange County,
<br />California; thence Northerly along the Easterly line of said
<br />land, V.08 chains; thence Northeasterly along the Easterly
<br />line of said land 5.6V chains; thence Northerly along the
<br />Easterly line of said land and the Northerly extension of
<br />said last mentioned line to an intersection with the
<br />Southerly boundary line of the City of Orange, California;
<br />thence Westerly, Southerly, Westerly, Northerly, and
<br />Westerly along the said Southerly boundary line of the City
<br />of Orange to an intersection with the Easterly line of
<br />North Main Street; thence Southerly along the said East
<br />line of North Main Street to a point 100 feet North of the
<br />Northerly boundary line of the City of Santa Aha, California;
<br />thence Westerly across North Main Street in a straight line
<br />to the point of beginning.

<br />RESOLVED: That receipt of said n~ice is hereby
<br />
<br />acknowledged, and the City Council of the City of Santa Ana hereby
<br />
<br />approves the intention of the petitioners signing s~d notice to
<br />
<br />circulate such petition within the district hereinbefore described
<br />
<br />and described in said notice, in which it is prooosed to circulate
<br />
<br />a petition asking for the annexation of said territory included in
<br />
<br />such district to the City of Santa Ans.

<br /> I hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was duly
<br />and regularly introduced, passed and adopted by the City Council
<br />of the City of Santa Aha, at an adjourned regular meeting held on
<br />
