<br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA
<br />ANA, DECLARING THEIR INTENTION TO ORDER THE CLOSING UP,
<br />AND ABANDONMENT OF A PORTION OF SULLIVAN STREET IN THE
<br />CITY' OF SANTA ANA; DECLiRING IT TO BE FOR THE PUBLIC
<br />INTEREST AND CONVENIENCE; AND FIXING THE TINE AND PLACE
<br />FOR HEARING OBJECTIONS TO SAID PROPOSED IMPROVEMENT.
<br />
<br /> The City Council of the City of Santa Ana, pursuant to
<br />the provisions of an Act of the Legislature of the State of
<br />California, known as "Street Opening Act of 1889", approved March
<br />
<br />6, 1889, and amendments thereto, do resolve and declare as follows:
<br />
<br />Section 1. That the public interest and convenience
<br />
<br />requires the closing up and abandonment of that portion of Sullivan
<br />
<br />Street as hereinafter described in the City of Santa Ana, and it is
<br />the intention of the City Council of the City of Santa Aha to order
<br />
<br />the following portion of Sullivan Street in said City to be closed
<br />up and abandoned, to-wit:
<br />
<br /> Beginning at the intersection of the Northeasterly
<br />llne of Sullivan Street with the Southeasterly line of
<br />Lot 16, of Block C~ Tract No. 633, Miscellaneous Maps,
<br />Book 19, Page 13, Hecords of Orange County; thence
<br />Northwesterly along the Northeasterly line of Sullivan
<br />Street to an intersection with the Westerly boundary line
<br />of said Tract No. 633; thence Southerly along said
<br />Westerly boundary line of Trao~ 633 to an intersection
<br />with the Southwesterly line of Sullivan Street; thence
<br />Southeasterly along said Southwesterly line of Sullivan
<br />Street to an intersection with the Southwesterly
<br />extended Southeasterly line of Lot 16, Block C, said
<br />Tract 633; thence Northeasterly along said Southwesterly
<br />extended Southeasterly line of said Lot 18 to the point
<br />of beginning.

<br />All of which is more clearly shown on a certain map approved and
<br />
<br />adopted by the City Council of the City of Santa Ana, for said
<br />abandonment by Resolution No. 1888 on the 20th day of February,
<br />
<br /> Section 2. That the said City Council of the City of
<br />Santa Aha does further declare that the lot, land or premises
<br />affected by the closing up and abandonment of the hereinbefore
<br />
<br />1928~

<br />described portion of Sullivan Street, and benefited by said improve-
<br />ment, are the parcels of real property described as follows, to-wit:
<br />
<br /> Lots Nine (9) to Twelve (12) inclusive, in Block
<br /> "D" of Tract No. 653, Miscellaneous Maps, Book 19, Page
<br /> 13, Records of Orange County, California.
<br />
<br /> Also Lots Sixteen (16) to Twenty-four (24)
<br />inclusive in Block "C", Tract No. 633, Miscellaneous
<br />Maps, Book 19, Page 13, Records of Orange County,
<br />California.
<br />
<br />Section 3. Tha~ the proceedings for the closing up of
<br />
<br />the a~oresaid portion of Sullivan Street shall be had and taken undez
<br />
<br />and in accordance with an Act of the Legislature of the State of
<br />
<br />Califomia, designated and known as "An Act to provide for laying
<br />out, opening, extending, widening, straightening or closing up in
<br />whole or in part of any street, square, lane, alley, court or place
<br />
<br />within Municipalities; to condemn and acquire any and all land and
<br />
<br />property necessary or convenient for the purpose", approved March
<br />
<br />6, 1889, and amendments thereto.
<br />
<br />Section 4. The Street Superintendent shall cause to be
<br />
<br />conspicuously posted along the line of said contemplated work and
<br />
<br />
