HESOLUTION NO. 59-161 ACCEPTING QUITCLAIM DEEDS TO PROVIDE <br /> RIGHT OF WAY F0~ THE WIDENING OF NORTH MAIN STREET, WITHOUT <br /> CASH CONSIDERATION FOR SAID I,&ND BUT WHERE THE CITY IS PAYING <br /> $17,818.31 FOH THE REMOVAL OF EXISTING STRUCTURES FROM SAID <br /> STREET RIGHT OF WAY <br /> <br /> WPIEREAS, 'JA~TES I. and I~2tDEAN....~ KE have delivered to the <br />City a Quitclaim Deed dated May 14, 1959, a~d KATHERIli~E W~has de- <br />livered to the City a Quit Claim deed dated ~,;~.ay 14, 1959, and <br /> <br />E. GRUPE and HARRY N. PAI~_N~ JR. have delivered to the City a Quit- <br />claim deed dated ~ay l~, 1959, in each case quitclaiming all right, <br />title and interest in and to a~ easement for street purposes over <br />the Easterly 12 feet of the Southerly 55 feet of Block 'IA" of Robin- <br />son's Tract, as per map thereof, recorded in Book 31, Page 74 of <br />Niscellaneous Records of Los Angeles County, California; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City has entered into Escrow No. 4~186-C at the <br />Security Title Insurance Company whereunder it agrees to pay into <br /> <br />escrow the stun of ~17,818.31 for W. C. and LOIS KRAY, as considera- <br />tion for Mr. and Mrs. Kray removing all existing strUctures and ira- <br /> <br />provements within sixty days of the execution of escrow instructions <br /> <br />by the City. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the City accepts said <br /> <br />Quitclaim deeds, and directs Carl J. Thornton, the City's designated <br /> <br />agent, to place his Certificate of Acceptance thereon, and directs <br /> <br />the deposit of !~17,818.31, together with said accepted three Quitclaim <br /> <br />deeds in the escrow hereinabove referred to. <br /> <br />PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Santa Aha <br /> <br />at its regular meeting held on the <br />ATTEST: <br /> <br /> ' ~Ui~M~K OF-THE COUNCIL <br /> <br /> <br />
