RESOLUTION OF AWARD NO. 2122 <br /> <br /> V.~EREAS, the City Council of the City of Santa Ana did, in open session, at a <br /> regular meeting thereof, on the 19th day of August, 1929, publicly open, examine <br /> and declare all sealed proposals or bids for doing the following work, under Resolution <br /> of Intention No. 2109, in the City of Santa Aha, to-wit: <br /> <br /> That the portions of streets in the City of Santa Ana upon which work shall be <br /> done and improvements made as hereinafter set forth are upon and along those open public <br /> streets commonly known as and called Grand Avenue from the Center llne of First Street, <br /> as it exists west of Grand Avenue to the center line of Fourth Street and Second <br /> Street from the s~rveyed center line of ~cC!ay Street to the East line of Grand Avenue~ <br /> excepting therefrom any portions of said streets upon which the work is already done to <br /> the official grade. <br /> <br /> That the work to be done and improvements to be made upon and along the herein <br /> above described portions of streets in accordance with the plans and specifications <br /> therefor, on file in the office of the City Engineer shall be as follows; <br /> <br /> That Grand Avenue between the North line of First Street and the South line <br />of Fourth Street, and Second Street between the West line of NcClay Street and the East <br />line of Grand Avenue shall be graded and paved with asphaltic concrete pavement from <br />curb line to curb line, and where cross streets intersect the grading and paving shall <br />extend beyond the curb lines to the extended property lines of said street; and at <br />driveway locations the grading and paving shall beret their entire width and from the <br />street side of the curb to the street side of the sidewalk, all as particularly indicatec <br />on and in accordance with the plans and specifications hereinafter mentioned. <br /> <br /> The excavation for and construction of Portland cement concrete curbs upon <br />and along the hereinbefore described portions of streets, where curbs do not exist or <br />where replacements are to be made, all as particularly indicated on and in accordance <br />with the plans and specifications hereinafter mentioned. <br /> <br /> The excavation for and. construction of Portland cement concrete sidewalks upon <br />and along the hereinbefore described portions of streets where sidewalks do not now <br />exist or replacements are to be made, all as particularly indicated on and in accordance <br />with the plans and specifications hereinafter mentioned. <br /> <br /> The excavation for and construction of salt glazed vitrified clay pipe house <br />connecting sewers, laid at such elevations andgrades and at such locations as are part- <br />icularly indicated on and in accordance with the plans and specifications hereinafter <br />mentioned. <br /> <br /> Together with such other work and improvements as are noted on the plans or <br />specifications, which shall De considered as incidental to the above described work and <br />improvements, and no additional compensation shall be allowed therefor. <br /> <br /> T he work to be done as herein set forth shall include the furnishing of all <br />labor, equipment and materials necessary for and appurtenant to the construction and <br />completion of all work herein specified. <br /> <br /> RESOLVED: That the said City Council hereby reject all of said proposals or <br /> <br />bids except the next herein mentioned, and hereby awards <br />and improvement to the lowest responsible bidder, to-wit: <br />named in its bid as follows, to-wit: <br /> <br />the contract for doing said <br /> <br /> Griffith Company at the price <br /> <br /> <br />
