RESOLUTION ORDERING WORK NO. 2123

<br /> ¥~EREAS, the City Council of the City of Santa Ama, on the 22nd day of July,
<br />1929, passed its Resolution of Intention No. 2113, to order the hereinafter described
<br />work to be done and improvement to be made in, on and along Ross Street, between the
<br />center line of Nineteenth Street and the center line of Santa Clara Avenue and the
<br />Southerly half of Santa Clara Avenue, between a line drawn parallel to and distant ten
<br />(10) feet Easterly from the Northerly extended Easterly line of Ross Street and a line
<br />drawn parallel to and distant fifty (50) feet Westerly from the Northerly extended
<br />Westerly line of Ross Street, which ltesolution of Intention No. 2113 was duly and legall
<br />published twice in the Santa Ana Daily Evening Hegister, a daily newspaper published and
<br />circulated in the City of Santa Ana, all as required by law, as appears from the
<br />affidavit of W. Lee Millis, principal clerk of the printers and publishers of said daily
<br />newspaper, and which affidavit was filed in the office of the Clerk of the City of
<br />
<br />Santa Ana, on the 25th day of July, 1929; and
<br />
<br /> WHEREAS, after the passage and adoption of
<br />2113, the Street Superintendent of the City of Santa
<br />
<br />said Resolution of Intention No.
<br />
<br />Ana conspicuously posted along the
<br />
<br />line of the contemplated work and improvement, at not more than three hundred (300) feet
<br />in distance apart, and ? in all, notices of the passage of said Resolution of Intention,
<br />headed, NOTICE OF IMPROVEMENT, in the manner, form and substance as required by law, and
<br />the work ~eing chargeable upon a district, also conspicuously posted copios of said
<br />notice along all of the open streets within s~eh district at not more than three hundred
<br />(300) feet in distance apart, as appears from the affidavit of C.L.Jenken, said Street
<br />Superintendent, who personally posted said notices of improvement; and
<br />
<br /> V~EREAS, the Street Superintendent of the City of Santa Ama, con~aenced to post
<br />said notices on the 5th day of August, 1929, and fully completed the posting thereof on
<br />the 5th day of August, 1929, more than ten (10) days before the date set for hearing pro
<br />tests or objections to the proposed work and improvement, all as ap~ars from the
<br />affidavit of C.L.Jenken~ Street Superintendent of the City of Santa Ana, filed in the
<br />office of the Clerk of said City on the 6th day of August, 1929, and now on file therein
<br />and
<br />
<br /> VEqEREAS, the City Council of the City of Santa Ana was duly and regularly in
<br />session at the Council Chan~er thereof at the hour of V:3o o'clock P.~.i. on Nonday, the
<br />19th day of August, 1929, being the time, hour and place named in the Resolution of
<br />Intention and Notice of Improvement, when and where any and all persons having any
<br />objection to the proposed work or improvement may appear before the City Co~mcil and sho
<br />cause why said proposed work should not be carried out in accordance with said Resolutio~
<br />of Intention No. 2113; and
<br />
<br /> Vd-tEREAS, all protests or objections presented having been disposed of, overrule~
<br /> and denied, in time, manner and form as required by law, and the City Council of the
<br /> City of Santa Ana having acquired jurisdiction to order the proposed work done and
<br /> improvement made;
<br />
<br /> IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Santa Ana that the
<br /> public interest and convenience requires the work done and improvement made particularly
<br /> set forth and described in Resolution of Intention No. 2113, which is dated the 22nd day
<br /> of July, 1929, on file in the office of the Clerk of said City and hereby referred to a~
<br /> ma~e a part hereof, and the City Council of the City of Santa Ana hereby orders the work
<br />
