IN THE MATTER OF THE ACQUISITION AND IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT NO. 5 OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA. RESOLUTION ORDERING ACQUISITION AND IMPROVEMENT NO. 2129. BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Santa Aha, that it is hereby found, determined and ordered as follows: 1. That the owners of more than one-half of the area of the property included in the Assessment District described in Resolution of Intention No. 2128 In the Matter of ;~cquisition and Improvement District No. O of the City of Santa Ana, adopted by this City Council on the 28th day of August, 1929, and in the specifications therefor referred to in said Resolution, have not made written objections going to the entirety of the things herein proposed to be done; 2. That the Ooundaries of the Assessment District for said Acquisition and Improvement District No. 5 as proposed in said Resolution of Intention, are hereby adopted and established as the Doundaries of said Assessment District. 3. That the public interest and necessity requires, and it is hereby ordered, that the following acquisition for the opening and extension of Richland Street in the City of Santa Ana be made, to-wit: All of a strip of land sixty (60) feet in width and Deing thirty (30) feet on each ~ide of and adjacent to the following described cente~ line, to-wit: Begin~ing at the Northeasterly corner of Block One (1) of Hillyard Addition as per map thereof on file in Miscellaneous Maps, Book 4, Page $2, Records of Orange County, California; thence Westerly along the Northerly line of Block One (1) of said Hillyard Addition to the. Northwesterly corner thereof. All as =et forth and described in said Resolution of Intention No. 2128, passed and adopted August 20, 1929, and in the specifications referr,~d to, and that the property necessary to be taken for such opening and extension of Richland Street, and which is hereby ordered to be acquired therefor, is that described in Section i of said Resolution of Intention. ~. That the City Attorney of the City of Santa Ana is hereby ordered to bring an action in the name of the City of Santa Ana, in the Superior Court of the State of California, in and for the County of Orange, for the condemnation of the property necessary to be taken for the acquisition ordered in paragraph hereof, and described in Section I of said ~esolution of Intention No. 2125, and to do all things necessary to prosecute said action to final determination. ~. That to defray the expenses of the acquisition herein ordered bonds will be issued to the total amount of the same, said bonds to bear interest at the rate of seven percent per annum, payable semi-annually, and the aggregate principal of all bonds issued to be paid and discharged within thirteen years after the date of issuance, approximately one-tenth of said aggregate principal to be paid annually, all in gold coin, and that a special fund for the payment of said bonds will be constituted by the levy of special assessment t~xes upon the lands within the Assessment District, according to the assessed value Of said lands, exclusive of the improvements thereon, and in the manner provided by the provisions of the sai~. act under which said acquisition proceedings are had and taken, the first payment of the aggregate principal on the bonds issued will be made three years after the issuance thereof. 8.
