RE~OL~TkIONNO. ~150 <br /> <br /> A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br /> SANTA ANA, CALIFORNIA, RELATING ~0 THE ISSUANCE <br /> OF STREET IMPROVEF~ENT BONDS PURSUANT TO RESOLUTION <br /> OF INTENTION NO. 20~2~ DETE/~J~INI~G THE A~OLrNT OF <br /> UNPAID ASSESSF~ENTS; PRESCRIBING THE DENOMINATION <br /> OF SUCH BONDS AND PROVIDING FOR THEIR ISSUANCE IN <br /> AN/~JAL SERIES. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to statute, notice of filing list of unpaid assessment~ <br />was duly given in the manner and form~ required ny law~ that the warrant, assess- <br />menS and diagram was recorded on the 20th day of August, 1929, for the work and <br />improvement made by the Griffith Company, under that certain contract awarded <br />to it on the 25th day of March, 1929, upon Sycamore Street, between the South <br />line of Washington Avenue and the center line of Seventeenth Street, as set forth <br />in Resolution of Intention No. 2072; that said warrant, assessment and diagram <br />were returned to the Street Superintendent of said City, together with a written <br />statement of all payments_received upon the said assessment; and after the full <br />expiratio~ of thirty (30) days after the date of the recording of said warrant, <br />the said Street Superintendent duly made and filed with the City Clerk of the said <br />City of Santa Ana, a complete list of all assessments unpaid upon the said assess- <br />ment, which list is now on file in the office of the City Clerk of said City; now <br />upon evidence shown~ this City Council determines that the assessments therein <br />mentioned were then unpaid, the total aggregate thereof being the sum of Fifteen <br />Thousand Four Hundred forty-five and 3/100 Dollars, $15,445.03), and that there <br />have been paid since the filing of the list of unpaid assessments by the Street <br />Superintendent the following assessments, to-wit: Assessment No. 6 for $823.79~ <br />and Assessment No. 50 for $2.93; and that there now remains unpaid the sum of <br />Foumteen Thousand Six Hundred Eighteen and 31/100 Dollars ($14,618.31) upon the <br />assessments shown upon said list. <br /> <br /> Reference is hereby made to Resolution of Intention No. 2072 of the City <br />Council of the City of Santa Ana, passed on the 18th day of February, 1929, for a <br />complete description of the work herein mentioned, and to the list of unpaid <br />assessments filed as above stated for the assessments unpaid; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS~ Interested persons were notified in the manner required by law <br />to appear before the City Council in the Council Chamber of the City Hall of said <br />City at the ho~r of 7:30 o{clock P.M. on Monday, the 7th day of October, 1929, and <br />show cause why bonds should not be issued upon the security of the unpaid assess- <br />ments shown on the Street Superintendent's list; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, notice was duly given in the manner and for~n required by law~ <br />that serial bonds to represent unpaid assessments bearing interest at the rate of <br />six per cent per annum will be issued hereunder in the manner provided in the <br />"Improvement Bond Act of 1915", the last installment of which bonds shall mature <br />nine years from the ~nd day of July~ next succeeding ten (10) months from their <br />date, and all interested persons having appeared before this City Co.uncil and <br />having been given a ~mll opportunity to show cause why bonds should not be issued <br />upon the security of the unpaid assessments shown on said list, and all objections <br />presented having been heard and considered. <br /> <br /> IT IS THEREFORE NOW BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA DETER~IE <br />RESOLVED AND ORDERED AS FOLLOWS: That no cause has been shown why bonds should <br /> <br /> <br />
