RESOLUTION NO. 2136 RESOLUTION CALLING ELECTION ON ANNEXATION OF "WRIGHT STREET ADDITION" WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Santa Aha did on the 28th day of October, 19~9, receive a written petition asking that certain new territory hereinafter described be annexed to, incorporated in and made a part of the City of Santa Aha; and W/t~REAS, The City Council of the City of Santa Ana has found that said written petition was signed by not less than one-fourth in number of the qualifie electors ~esiding in said territory as shown by the Registration of voters of Orange County, California. NSW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Santa ~Ana hereby resolves as follows: 1. A special election is hereby called and ordered to be held in the territory hereinafter described, for the purpose of submitting ~o the electors residing in said territory the question whether said territory shall be annexed to, incorporated in and made a part of the City of Santa Aha. ~ notice shall be given of said election by the publication of a notice thereof in the "Orange Daily News", a daily newspaper.s? of general circulation printed and published outside of said City of Santa Ana, but in the County eT Orange, State of California, in which said territory is situated, at least o:~ce a week for four (4) successive weeks next preceding the date of said election; said notice to be in words and figures substantially as follows: NOTICE OF SPECIAL ~r.~CTION NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN: That a special election will be held in the territory hereinafter described, designated as the "Wright Street Addition", on Thursday, the 5th day of December, 1929, for the purpose of submittin~ to the electors residing in said territory the question whether said territory shall be annexed to, incorporated in and made a part of the said City of Santa Ana. The territory so proposed to be annexed is situated in the County of Orange~ State of California, and particularly described as follows~ to-wit: Beginning at a point in Seventeenth Street, said point being on the Northerly boundary line of the City of Santa Ana, California, and distant 508 feet Easterly from an angle point in said boundary line, which said angle point is in the intersection of Wright Street with Seventeenth Street; thence Northerly and parallel to Wright Street'180 feet to a point; thence Westerly and parallel to Seventeenth Street 508 feet to an intersection with the said boundary line in Wright Street; thence Southerly along said boundary line in Wright Street to an inter- section with said boundary line in Seventeenth Street; thence Easterly along said boundary line in Seventeenth Street to the point of beginning. The electors of said territory are hereby directed to vote upon said question in the manner hereinafter set forth. 2. The City Council does hereby establish for the purpose of holding said special election one election precinct, the boundaries of which shall be the boundaries of said territory, and the place at which the polls will be open for said election in said territory so proposed to be annexed will be at the residenc~ of John Mangold, 1701 East Seventeenth Street~ The City Council hereby appoints the officers to conduct said special election as follows: Judge: Bertha Mangold Inspector: John Marigold
