RESOLUTION ORDERING WORK
<br /> NO. 2140
<br />
<br /> WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Santa Aha, on the 14th day of
<br />October, 1929, passed its Resolution of Intention No. 2132, to order the herein-
<br />after described work to be done and improvmment to be made in, on and along Marth
<br />Lane between the center line of Bristol Street and the Westerly line of Pacific
<br />Avenue and Pacific Avenue ~etween the Northerly line of Washington Avenue and
<br />the Northerly line of Martha Lane and the Westerly half of Bristol Street between
<br />lines drawn parallel to and distant 50 feet Northerly and 50 feet Southerly
<br />respectively from the center line of Martha Lane, which Resolution of Intention
<br />No. 2132 was duly and legally published twice in the Santa Ana Daily Evening
<br />Register, a daily newspaper published and circulated in the City of Santa Ana, al
<br />as required by law, as appears from the affidavit of W. Lee Millis, principal
<br />Clerk of the printers and publishers of said daily n®wspDper, and which affidavit
<br />was filed in the office of the Clerk of the City of Santa Ana, on the 18th day of
<br />October, 1929; .and
<br />
<br /> WHEREAS, after the passage and adoption of said Resolution of Intention
<br />No. 2132, the Street Superintendent of the City of Santa Ana conspicuously posted
<br />along the line of the contemplated work and improvement, at not more than three
<br />hundred (300) feet in distance apart, and 12 in all, notices of the passage of
<br />said Resolution of Intention, headed, NOTICE OF IMPROVEMENT, in the manner, form
<br />and substance as required by law, and the work being chargeable upon a district,
<br />also conspicuously posted copies of said notice along all of the open streets
<br />within such district at not more than three hundred (300) feet in distance
<br />apart, as appears from the affidavit of C.L.Jenken, said Street Superintendent~
<br />who personally posted said notices of improvement; and
<br />
<br /> ~TEREAS, the Street Superintendent of the City of Santa Ana, cormnenced
<br />to post said notices on the 21st day of October, 1929, and fully completed the
<br />posting thereof on the 21st day of October, 1929, more than ten (10) days before
<br />the date set for h~aring protests or objections to the proposed work and
<br />improvement all as appears from the affidavit of C .L.Jenken, Street Supertnte~cle~t
<br />of the City of Santa Ana, filed in the office of the Clerk of said City, on the
<br />21st day of October, 1929, and now on file therein; and
<br />
<br /> WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Santa Ana was duly and
<br />regularly in session at the Council Chamber thereof at the hour of 7:30 o'clock
<br />P.M. on Monday, the 4th day of November, 1929~ being the time, hour and place
<br />named in the Resolution of Intention and Notice of Improvement, when and where aB
<br />and all persons having any objection to the proposed work or improvement may
<br />appear before the City Council ~nd show cause why aaid proposed work should not
<br />carried out in accordance with said Resolution of Intention No. 2132; and
<br />
<br /> WHEREAS, all protests or objections presented having been disposed of,
<br />overruled and denied, in time, man, er and form as required by law, and the City
<br />Council of the City of Santa Ana having acquired jurisdiction to order the pro-
<br />posed work done and improvement made;
<br />
<br /> IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Santa Ana
