<br /> Section 4. That to ~efray the expenses of the things proposed to be done, as above
<br />set forth, bonds Will be issued to the total amount of the same, said bonds to bear interest
<br />at the rate of six percent per ann~m, payable semi-annually, the first interest payment to
<br />be made on the 2nd day of January or the End day of July (whichever month first succeeds the
<br />date of the bonds) next succeeding one year after the date of such bonds, and the aggregate
<br />principal of all bonds issued under these proceedings to be paid and discharged within
<br />twenty-th_tee years after the date of issuance, approximately one-twentieth part of such
<br />aggregate principal to be payable annually, all in gold coin, and that a special fund for
<br />the payment of said bonds will be constituted by the levy of special assessment taxes upon
<br />the lands within the Assessment District, excepting the lands owned by the City of Santa Ana,
<br />Santa Ana Board of Education and the County of Orange, hereinbefore described, in accordance
<br />with the provisions of the "Acquisition and Improvement Act of 1925", and amendments thereto,
<br />according to the assessed value of said lands, exclusive of the improvements thereon, except
<br />as otherwise in said act provided. That the first payment on the aggregate principal of
<br />the bonds issued will be made three years after issuance thereof.
<br />
<br /> That the interest rate to be paid on all acquisition bonds and immediate possession
<br />bonds, if any, which shall be issued under these proceedings shall be issued at a maximum
<br />~ate which shall not exceed eight percent per annum, payable sen~i-annually, the exact rate of
<br />interest at which such bonds are to be sold to be determined at the sale of such acquisition
<br />or immediate possession bonds.
<br />
<br /> Section 5. That the 25th day of November, 19~9, at the hour of 7:50 o'clock
<br />of said day, is the day and hour, and the Council Char~ber of the City Council of the City of
<br />Santa Ana, at the City Hall of the City of Santa Ana, California, is the place hereby fixed
<br />by said City Council when and where any and all persons having any objections to the proposed
<br />acquisitions, work or improvements, to the proposed grades, to which the improvements are to
<br />be constructed, to the extent of the assessment district or to any or all of the foregoing,
<br />may appear before said City Council of the City of Santa Aha and be heard. Attention is
<br />hereby directed to the provisions of the "Aaquisition and Improvement Act of 19~", as
<br />amended, relative to objections and protests.
<br />
<br /> Section 8. That the proceedings for said acquisitions, work and improvements shall
<br />be had and taken under and in accordance with an act of the legislature of thc State of
<br />California, known and designated as the "Acquisition and Improvement Act of 19~S", approved
<br />May ~S, 19SS, and amendments thereto, and said bonds shall also be issued in accordance with
<br />said act and amendments thereto.
<br />
<br /> Section ~ That Clyde L. Jenken, City Engineer, of the City of Santa Aha, is
<br />hereby appointed Superintendent of work, without compensation, and he is hereby ordered to
<br />cause to be conspicuously posted in the form and manner provided in said act, notices of the
<br />adoptio~ of this Resolution, which said notices shall be entitled "NOTICE OF PUBLIC INPROVE~-
<br />~ENT", mn letters of not less than one inch in length, in the form required by law.
<br />
<br /> Section 8. That the Clerk of this City Council shall certify to the adoption
<br />of this Resolution, and shall cause the same to be published by two insertions in the Santa
<br />Ana Daily Evening Register, a daily newspaper published and circulated in the City of Santa
<br />
