<br /> The excavation for and construction of Wrought Iron Pipe Gas Service Ho
<br />connections, including all cocks, fittings and other necessary appurtenances
<br />upon and along Nartha Lane, betw en the Westerly line of Bristol Street and the
<br />Easterly line of Pacific Avenue, from and connecting with the Gas Nain to be inst~
<br />as hereinbefore described, at right angles thereto, and extending to the property
<br />lines at such locations as are particularly indicated on and in accordance with
<br />the plans and specifications hereinafter mentioned.
<br />
<br /> Together with such other work or improvements as are noted on the plans
<br />and specifications which shall be considered as incidental to the above described
<br />work and improvements and no additional compensation shall be allowed therefor.
<br />
<br /> The work to be done as herein set forth shall include the furnishing
<br />of all labor, equipment and materials necessary for or appurtenan~ to the con-
<br />struction and completion of all work herein specified.
<br />
<br /> RESOLVED: That the said City ~ouncil hereby reject all of said pro-
<br />posals or bids except the next herein mentioned, and hereby awards the contract
<br />for doing said work and improvement to the lowest responsible bidder,.to-wit:
<br />GRIFFITH COMPANY~ at the prices named in their bid as follows, to-wit.

<br /> Item No. 1. The Grading to a subgrade and the placinE thereon of an
<br />Asphaltic Concrete Pavement having a total thickness of four (4) inches, complete
<br />with the furnishin~ of §ll necessary~equipment, labor and material for the sum
<br />of Sixteen cents ($0.18) per square foot.
<br />
<br /> Item No~ 2. The grading to a subgrade and the laying thereon of a
<br />Portland Cement Concrete pavement having a total thickness of six (8) inches,
<br />complete wit~ the~furnishing of all necessary equipment, labor and material for
<br />the sum of Twenty cents ($0.20) per s~uare foot.

<br /> Item No. 3. The excavation for and the construction of Portland Cement
<br />Concrete Curbs, complete with the furnishing of all necessary equipment, labor
<br />and material for the sum of Forty-seven cents ($0.4?) per linear foot.
<br />
<br /> Item No. 4. The excavation for and the c~nstr~ction of Portland Cement
<br />Concrete Sidewalks having a total thickness of three and one-half (~) inches~
<br />complete with the furnishing of all necessary equipment, labor and ~terial for
<br />the sum of Fifteen cents ($O.1S) per square foot.

<br /> Item No. 8. The excavation for and the construction of Portland Cement
<br />Concrete sidewalks having a total thickness of five (5) inches, complete with the
<br />furnish~ing o~ all necessary equX~pment, labor and materialfor the sum of Twenty
<br />cents ($0.20) per square foot.
<br />
<br /> Item No. 6. The trenching, furnishing and laying of six (6) inch
<br />diameter vitrified clay pipe main sewer, complete ~ith the furnishing of all
<br />necessary equipment, labor and material for the sum of Seventy cents ($0.70) per
<br />linear foot.

<br /> Item No. 7. The trenching, furnishing and Saying of four (4) inch
<br />diameter vitrified clay pipe house connecting sewers, c~mplete with the furnishin~
<br />of all necessary equipment, labor and material for the sum of Sixty cents ($0.60)
<br />per linear foot.
<br />
<br /> Item No. 8. The excavation for and the construction of Standard
<br />Concrete Manholes complete with the furnishing of all necessary equipment, labor
<br />and material for the sum of Seventy Dollars ($70.00) each.
<br />
<br /> Item No. 9. The excavation for and the constr~Action of a Standard
<br />Concrete Flushtank together with all necessary appurtenances thereto, complete
<br />with the furnishing of all necessary equipment, labor and material for the sum of
<br />One Hundred Twenty Dollars ($120.00) complete.

<br /> Item No. 10. The trenching, furnishing and laying of four (4) inch
<br />diameter cast iron pipe water main, together with all necessary valves, concrete
<br />valve boxes, fittings and other necessary appurtenances thereto, complete with
<br />the furnishing of all necessary equipment, labor and material for the sum of
<br />Seventy-eight cents ($0.78) per linear foot.
<br />
<br /> Item No. 11. The trenching, furnishing and laying ~£ three-quanter (S/4)
<br />inch diameter copper pipe house connecting water services~ together with all
<br />co~poration cocks, curb cocks, fittings and necessary a~nurtenances thereto
<br />complete with the furnishing of all necessary equipment, labor and material for
<br />the sum of Fifteen Dollars:($15.00) each.

<br /> Item No. 12. The excavation for, the furnishing and the installation of
<br />Corey Four (4) inch valve opening Fire Hydrants, together with the valves, valve
<br />~omes, pipe and other necessary appurtenances thereto, complete with the furnish-
<br />ing of all necessary equipment, labor and material for the sum of Ninety-five
<br />Dollars ($95.00) each.

<br />diameter Byers wrought iron pipe gas main complete with the furnishing of all
