RESOLUTION ORDERING WORK
<br /> NO. 2153.
<br />
<br /> WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Santa Aha, on the 12th day of
<br />November, 1929, passed its Resolution of Intention No. 2146,_to order the hereinafter
<br />described work to be done and improvement to be made in, on and along portions o£
<br />Flower Street, Nineteenth Street, Heliotrope Drive, Greenleaf Street, Santa Clara Avem
<br />Victoria Drive, Seventeenth Street, Ross Street and North Park Boulevard, which
<br />Resolution of Intention No. 2146 was duly and legally published twice in the Santa Ana
<br />Daily Evening Register, a daily newspaper published and circulated in the City of
<br />Santa Ana, all as required by law, as appears from the affidavit of W. Lee Millis,
<br />principal clerk of the printers and publishers of said daily newspaper, and which
<br />affidavit was filed in the Office of the Clerk of the City of Santa Ana, on the 15th
<br />day of November, 19~9; and
<br />
<br /> ~VHEREAS, after the passe, ge and adoption of said Resolution of Intention No.
<br />2146, the Street Superintendent of the City of Santa Ana conspicuously posted along
<br />the line of the contemplated work and improvement, at not mo~e than three hundred (300
<br />feet in distance apart, and 75 in all, notices of the passage of said Resolution of
<br />Intention, headed, NOTICE OF IMPROVE~ENT, in the manner, form mud substance as ~equired
<br />~law, and the work being chargeable upon a district, also conspicuously posted copies
<br />of aaid notice along all of the open streets within such district at not more than
<br />three hundred (300) feet in distance apart, as appears from the affidavit of C.L.Jenken
<br />said Street Superintendent, who personally posted said notices of improvement; and
<br />
<br /> ~VHE~]~AS, the Street Superintendent of the City of Santa Ana, commenced to
<br />post said notices on the 22nd day of November, 1929, and fully completed the posting
<br />thereof on the 2Snd day of November, 1929, more than ten (10) days before the date set
<br />for hearing protests or objections to the proposed work and improvement~ all as appears
<br />from the affidavit of C.L.Jenken, Street Superihtendent of the City of ~anta Aha, filed
<br />in'the office of the Clerk of said City on the 22nd day of November, 1929~ and now on
<br />file therein; and
<br />
<br /> WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Santa Ana was duly and regularly in
<br />session at the Council Chamber thereof at the hour of V:30 o~clock P.M. on Monday,~the
<br />9th day of December, 1929, being the time, hour and place named in the Resolution of
<br />Intention and Notice of Improvement, when and where any and all persons having any
<br />objections to the proposed work or improvement may appear before the City Council and
<br />show cause why said proposed work should not be carried out in accordance with said
<br />Resolution of Intention No. 2145; and
<br />
<br />~HEREAS, said City Council having regularly continued said hearing from the
<br />9th day of December, 19~9, to the 16th day of December, 19~9, at 7:3 0 o~clock P.M.; an~
<br />
<br /> WHEREAS, all protests or objections presented having been disposed of~ over-
<br />ruled and denied, in time, manner and form as required by law, and the City Council of
<br />the City of Santa Ana having acquired jurisdiction to order the proposed work done and
<br />improvement made;
<br />
<br /> IT IS HEI~EBY Ri!.SOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Santa Ana, that the
<br />public interest and convenience requires the work done and improvement ~uade particularl
<br />set forth and described in Resolution of Intention No. 2146, which is dated the 12th day
<br />
