RESOLUTION NO. 2155 <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, it manifestly appears to this Board altar a careful considerati <br />of all of the facts in the case that the application of Pacific Electric Railway <br />Company, a Corporation, for a franchise to construct, maintain and operate a <br />pole line along First Street betweea Lacy Street and Maple Street in the City of <br />Santa Aha is necessary for a proper economic development and the better <br />accommodation of proper service in said City, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, it is the conclusion of this Board after such consideration of <br />the facts that there is and can be no bona fide competition for such franchise. <br /> <br /> NOW, TH~REFORE, IT IS RESOLVED, that the Board of T~ustees will grant <br />the franchise requested to the pacific Electric Railway Company without advertisin <br />the same for sale to the highest bidder, and the same shall be granted to the <br />Pacific Electric Railway Company by Ordinance. <br /> <br /> I hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution is a full, t~ue and <br />correct copy of Resolution No. 215& duly introduced and regularly passed by the <br />City Council of the City of Santa Ana, at an adjourned regular meeting thereof <br />held on the 3~h day of December, 1929, by the following vote: <br /> <br />AYES, TRUSTEES: <br /> <br />NOES, TRUSTEES: None <br /> <br />ABSENT, TRUSTEES: None <br /> <br />J.L.McBride, W.J.Kelly, Homer C.
