<br /> A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA
<br /> ANA, DECLARING THEIR INTENTION TO 0i~ER THE CLOSING
<br /> UP AND AB$~DON~NT OF A PORTION OF BROV~ STREET;
<br /> DECLJ~RING IT TO BE F0[~ THE PUBLIC INTerEST AND CON-
<br /> VENIENCE; AND FIXING THE TI~AE AND PLACE FOR HEARING
<br /> OBJECTIONS TO SAID PROPOSED IMPII0VE~ENT.

<br /> The City Cotmci~ of the City of Santa Ana, California, pursuant to the
<br />provisions of an Act of the Legislature of the State of California Ymovm as
<br />"Street Opening Ac~ of 188~", approved ~arch 8, 1889, and amendments thereto, do
<br />resolve and declare as follows:
<br />
<br /> Section 1. That the public interest and convenience requires the
<br />closing up and abandonment of a portion of Bro~wn Strset as hereinafter described
<br />in the City of Santa Ana, and it is the intention of the City Council of the City
<br />of Santa Ana to order the following portion of Brov~ Street in said City to be
<br />closed up and abandoned, to-wit:
<br />
<br /> All that portion of Brov~ Street extending from the Easterly
<br /> line of Santa Ana East as per map thereof on file in Book 10, Pages
<br /> ~S and ~, ~iscellaneous Records of Los Angeles County, California,
<br /> Westerly between Blocks ~5 and 26, 31 and 32, 39 and 40 of said
<br /> Santa Ana East to the Easterly line of that portion of Brovm Street
<br /> previously abandoned as recorded in Deed Book 554, Page 376, Official
<br /> Records of Orange County, California.
<br />
<br />All of which is more clearly shovm on a certain map approved and adopted by the
<br />City Council of thc City of Santa Ana for the saia abandonment by Resolution No.
<br />2156 on the 30th day of December, 1929.
<br />
<br /> Section 2. That the said City Council of the City of Santa Ana does
<br />further declare that the lots, lands or premises affected by the closing up and
<br />abandonment of the hereinbefore described portion of Brovm Street and benefited by
<br />
<br /> are those certain parcels of real proper~y described as follows~
<br />
<br />said improvement
<br />to-wit:
<br />
<br /> Blocks
<br /> map thereof
<br />
<br /> 25, 26, 31, 32 and 39 and 40 of Santa Ana East, as per
<br /> on file in Book 10, Pages 43 an~ 44 of Miscellaneous
<br /> Records of Los Angeles County, California.
<br />
<br /> Section 3. That the procecdings for the closing up of the aforesaid
<br />portion of Bro~wn Street shall be had and taken undsr and in accordance with an
<br />Act of the Legislature of the State of California, designated and lmovm as "An
<br />Act to Provide for Laying Out, Opening, Extending, Widening, Straightening or
<br />Closing up in ?hole or in Part of any Street, Square, Lane, Alley, Court or Place
<br />Within I~iunicipalities, to Conde~.m and Acquire any and all Land and Property
<br />Necessary or Convenient for that Purpose", approved March 6, 1889, and amendments
<br />thereto.
<br />
<br /> Section 4. The Street Superintendent shall cause to be conspicuously
<br />posted along the line of said contemplated work and improvement, at not more than
<br />three hundred (300) feet in distance apart, but not less than ttzree in all, notice;
<br />of the passage of this Resolution, in the form and manner as required by law; and
<br />he shall also cause a notice similar in substance for. a period of ten (10) days to
<br />be published in the Santa Ana Daily Evening Register, a daily newspaper published
<br />and circulated and of general circulation in the City of Santa Ama, California,
<br />and hereby designated for that purpose by the City Council, containing a statement
<br />of the fact of the passage of this Resolution of Intention, its date, and briefly
<br />describing the work or improvement proposed, and referring to this Resolution for
<br />further particulars.
