RESOLVED: That the said City Council hereby reJects~all of said proposals or
<br />bids except the next herein mentioned, and hereby awards the contract for doing said
<br />work and improvement to the lowest responsible bidder, to-wit: GEO. H. 0S~¥ALD,
<br />at the prices named in his bid as follows, to-wit:

<br /> Item No. 1. The grading to a subgra~e and the la~ing thereon of a Portland
<br />cement concrete pavement having a total thickness of six (6) inches, complete with the
<br />furnishing of all necessary equipment, labor and matertal~for the sum of Fifteen cents
<br />($0.15), per square foot.
<br />
<br /> Item No. 2. The grading to a subgrade and the laying thereon~of a Portland
<br />cement concrete pavement having a total thickness of five (5) inches, complete with
<br />the furnishing of all necessary e~uipment, labor and material for the sum of Thirteen
<br />and sixty-five hundredths cents (~0.1365) per square foot.

<br /> Item No. 3. The excavation for and the construction of Portland cement
<br />concrete Qurbs, sixteen (16) inches in vertical dimension, complete with the furnishing
<br />of all necessary equipment, labor and material for the sum of Thirty-three cents
<br />($0.33) per l~near foot.
<br />
<br /> Item No. 4. The excavation for and the construction of Portland cement concre'
<br />curbs, twelve (12) inches in vertical dimension, complete with the furnishing of all
<br />necessary equipment, labor and material for the sum of Twenty-nine cents ($0.29) per
<br />linear foot.

<br /> Item No. 5. The excavation for and the construction of Portland cement con-
<br />crete sidewalks having a total thickness of three and one-half (g~2~) inches, complete
<br />with the furnishing of all necessary equipment, labor and material for the sum of
<br />Eleven cents (So.11) per square foot.
<br />
<br /> Item No. 6. The excavation for and the construction of P~rtland cement con-
<br />c~ete sidew~lks having a total thickness of five (5) inches, complete with the furnish-
<br />ing of all necessary equipment~ labor and material for the sum of Sixteen cents ($0.16)
<br />per square foot.
<br />
<br /> Item No. 7. The trenching, furnishing and laying of ten (10) inch diameter
<br />vitrified clay pipe main sewer, complete with the furnishing of all necessary equipment
<br />labor and material for the sum of Ninety-five cmnts ($0.95) per ltnea~ foot.

<br /> Item No. 8. Th~ trenching, furnishing and laying of six (6) inch diameter
<br />vitrified clay pipe main sewer, complete with the furnishing of all necessary equipment
<br />labor and material for the sum of Sixty-eight cents ($0.68) per linear foot.

<br /> Item No. 9. The trenching, furnishing and laying of four (4) inch diameter
<br />vitrified clay pipe house connecting sewers, complete with the furnishing~of all
<br />necessary equipment, labor and material for the su~of Sixty-five cents (~0.65) per
<br />line, ar foot.
<br />
<br /> Item No. 10. The excavation for and the construction of Standard Concrete man-
<br />holes complete with the furnishing of all necessary equipment, labor and material for
<br />the sum of Sixty-two dollars ($62.00) each.

<br /> Item. No. 11. The excavation for and the construction of a standard vitrified
<br />clay pipe lamp hole together with cast iron frame and cov~ and the necessary
<br />appurtenances thereto, complete with the furnishing of all necessary equipment, labor,
<br />and material for the sum of Twenty dollars ($20.00) complete.'

<br /> · Item No. 12. The trenching, furnishing and laying of six (6)~ inch diameter cas~
<br />iron p~pe water main, together with all necessary valves, concrete valve boxes, fittings
<br />and other necessary appurtenances thereto, complete with the furnishing of all
<br />necessary equipment, labor and material for the sum of One Dollar three cents ($1.03)
<br />per linear foot.

<br /> Item No. 13. The trenching, furnishing and laying of two (2) inch diameter cast
<br />iron pipe house connecting water sarvtces together with all lead connections, fittings,
<br />corporation cocks and all other necessary appurtenances thereto, complete with the
<br />furnishing of all necessary equipment, labor and material for the sum of Twenty dollars
<br />sixty cents ($20.60) each.

<br /> Item No. 14. The trenching, furnishing and laying of three-quarter (3/4) inch
<br />diameter copper pipe house connecting water services, together with all corporation coc
<br />curb cocks, fittings and necessary appurtenances thereto, complete with the furnishing
<br />all necessary equipment, labor and material for the sum of Ten dollars, thirty cents
<br />($10.$0) each.
<br />
<br /> Item No. 18. The excavation for, the furnishing and the installation of six
<br />(6) inch Corey Fire Hydrants, together with the valves, valve boxes, pipe and other
<br />necessary appurtenances thereto, complete with the furnishing of all neces~ary equip-
<br />ment, labor and material for the sum of Ninety seven dollars, eighty-five cents
<br />$97.85) each.

<br /> Item No. 16. The trenching, furnishing and laying of three (3) inch diameter
<br />Byers wrought iron pipe gas main complete with the furnishing of all necessary equipment
<br />labor and material for the sum of Sixty-seven cents ($0.67) per linear foot.
<br />
<br /> Item No. 17. The trenching, furnishing and laying of three-quarter (3~4) inch
<br />diameter Byers wrought iron pipe house connecting gas services together with all cocks,
<br />fittings and necessary appurtenances thereto, complete with the furnishing of all
<br />necessary equipment, labor ~ud material for the sum of Thirteen dollars, fifteen cents
<br />($13.15) each.
