RESOLUTION NO. 20V6 <br /> <br /> A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br /> SANTA ANA, CALIFORNIA, RELATING TO THE ISSUANCE <br /> OF STREET IMPROVEMENT BONDS PURSUANT TO RES0~ITION <br /> OF INTENTION NO. 1991; DETERMINING THE AMOUNT OF <br /> UNPAID ASSESSMENTS; PRESCRIBING T~ DEN0~INATION <br /> OF UNPAID ASSESSMENTS; PRESCRIBING THE DENOMINATION <br /> OF SUCH BONDS AND PROVIDING FOR THEIR ISSUANCE IN <br /> ANNUAL SERIES. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to Statute, notice of the filing of list of unpaid <br />assessments was duly given in the manner and form rec~ired by law, that the warra~ <br />assessment and diagram was recorded on the 29th day of January, 1929, for the <br />work and improvement made'by Griffith Company, under that certain contract awarde. <br />to it on the 17th day Of September, 1928, upon portions of Ross Street and Six- <br />teenth Street, as set forth in Resolution of Intention No. 1991; and that said <br />warrant, assessment and diagram were returned to the Street Superintendent of ssi, <br />City, together with a written statement of all payments received upon the said <br />assessment; and after the full expiration of thirty (30) days after the date of <br />recording of said warrant, the said Street Superintendent duly made and filed <br />with the City Clerk of said City of Santa Ana, a complete list of all assessments <br />unpaid upon the said assessment, which list is now on file in the office of the <br />City Clerk of said citY; now upon evidence shown, this City Council determines <br />that the assessments t~erein mentioned were then unpaid, the total aggregate <br />thereof being the sum of Three Thousand, One Hundred Seventy and 45/105 Dollars <br />($3,170.45), and that no assessments have been paid since the filing of the list <br />of unpaid assessments bY the Street Superintendent, and that there now remains <br />unpaid the sum of Three Thousand One Hundred Seventy and 45/100 Dollars (~3,1V0.4~ <br />upon the assessments shown upon said list. <br /> <br /> Reference is hereby ~ade to Resolution of Intention No. 1991 of the <br />City Council of the City of Santa Ana, passed on the 6th day of August, 1928, for <br />a complete description of the work herein mentioned, and to the list of unpaid <br />assessments filed as above stated for the assessments unpaid; and <br /> <br /> V~EREAS, interested persons were notified in the ma~er required by <br />law to appear before the City Council in the Council Chamber of the City Hall of <br />said City at the hour of V:30 o'clock P.M. on Monday, the llth day of March, 1929, <br />and show cause, why bonds should not be issued upon the security of the unpaid <br />assessments shown on the Street Superintendent's list; and <br /> <br /> V~EREAS, notice was duly given in the manner and form required by law~ <br />that serial bonds to represent unpaid assessments bearing interest at the rate of <br />six per cent per annum will be issued hereunder in the manner provided in the <br />"Improvement Bond Act of 1915", the last installment of which bonds shall mature <br />nine years from the 2nd day of July, next succeecting ten (10) months from their <br />date, and all interested persons havin~ appeared before this City Council and <br />having been given a full opportunity to show cause why bonds should not be issued <br />upon the security of the unpaid assessments shown on said list, and all objections <br />presented having been heard and considered. <br /> <br /> IT IS THEREFORE NOW BY THE CITY C~NCIL OF ~E CITY OF SANTA ANA, <br />DETERMINED, RESOLVED AND ORDERED AS FOLLOWS: That no cause has been shown why <br />bonds should not be issued upon the security of said unpaid assessments, and does <br /> <br /> <br />
