RESOLUTION NO. 2095 <br /> <br /> A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA <br /> ANA, DECLARING THEIR INTENTION TO ORDER THE CLOSING UP <br /> AND ABANDONmeNT OF A PORTION OF THE ALLEY THROUGH BLOCK <br /> ~At, OF HA~¥KINS ADDITION AS PE~ MAP THEREOF ON FILE IN <br /> BOOK 13, PAGE 26, MISCELLANEOUS RECORDS OF LOS ANGELES <br /> COUNTY, CALIFORNIA; DECLARING IT TO BE FOR THE PUBLIC <br /> INTEREST AND CONVENIENCE; AND FIXING THE TI¥~ AND PLACE <br /> FOR HEARING OBJECTIONS TO SAID PROPOSED IMPROVEMENT. <br /> <br /> The City Council of the City of Santa Ana, California, pursuant to the <br />provisions of an Act of the Legislature of the State of California known as "Street <br />Opening Act of 1889", approved March 6, 1889, and amendments thereto, do resolve and <br />declare as follows: <br /> <br /> Section 1. That the public interest and convenience requires the closing up <br />and abandonment of a portion of that certain alley as hereinafter described in the City <br />of Santa Ana, and .it is the intention of the City Council of the City of Santa Ana to <br />order the following portion of that certain alley in said City to be closed up and <br />abandoned, to-wit: <br /> <br /> A portion of the alley through Block A, of Hawkins ts Addition as per <br /> map thereof on file in Boos 13, Page 28~ Miscellaneous Records of Los <br /> Angeles County, California, and more particularly described as follows: <br /> <br /> ' Beginning at the Southeasterly corner of,Lot 28, Block A of said <br /> Hawkins Addition; thence Northerly ~long~th~ Easterly lines of Lots 28, <br /> 2~, and 22 to a point distant forty one (Al) feet Northerly from the <br /> Southeasterly corner of said Lot 22; thence Easterly and parallel to the <br /> Northerly line of Stafford Street to an intersection with the Westerly <br /> Line of Lot 21, Block A of said Hawkins Addition; thence Southerly along <br /> the Westerl~ lines of Lots 21, 2A and 2S to the Southwesterly corner of <br /> said Lot 20, thence Westerly to the point of beginning. <br /> <br />All of which is more clearly shown on a certain map approved and adopted by the City <br />Council of the City of Santa &ua for the said abandonment by Resolution No. 20~ on the <br />~rd day of June, 192~. <br /> <br /> Section II. That the said City Council of the City of Santa Ana does further <br />declare that the lot, land or premises affected by the closi~ up and abandonment of the <br />hereinbefore described portion of said alley and benefited by said improvement are those <br />certain parcels of real property described as follows, to-wit: <br /> <br /> Lots Twenty-one (21) to Twenty-six (28) inclusive of Block A, of <br /> Hawkins Addition, as per map thereof on file in Book l~, Page 28, <br /> Miscellaneous Records of Los Angeles County, California. <br /> <br /> Section III. That the proceedings for the closing up of the aforesaid portion <br />of said alley shall be had and taken under and in accordance with an Act of, the <br />Legislature of the State of California, designated and known as "An Act to Provide for <br />Laying Out, Opening, Extending, ¥~idening, Straightening or Closing up in ~nole or in Par~ <br />of any Street, Square, Lane, Alley, COurt or Place within ~unicipalities, to Condemn <br />and Acquire any and all Land and Property Necessary or Convenient for that Purpose", <br />approved March 8, 1889, and amendments thereto. <br /> <br /> Section IV. The Street Superintendent shall cause to be conspicuously posted <br />along the line of said contemplated work and improvement, at not more than three hundre~ <br />(800) feet in distance apart, but not less than three in all, notices of the passage <br />of this Resolution, in the form and manner as required by law; and he ~hall also cause <br />a notice similar in substance for a period of ten (10) days to be published in the Santa <br />Ana Daily Evening I~egisSer, a daily newspaper published and circulated and of general <br />circulation in the City of Santa Aha, California, and hereby designated for that purpose <br />by the City Council, containing a statement of the fact of the passage of this <br />Resolution of Intention, its date, and briefly describing the work or improvement pro- <br />posed, and referring to this Resolution for further particulars. <br /> <br /> <br />
