RESOLUTION OF INTENTION <br /> <br /> NO. 2115 <br /> <br /> A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA <br /> ANA DECLARING THEIR INTENTION TO ESTABLISH SET-BACK <br /> LINES UPON EAST ViASHINGTON AVENUE FROM LINCOLN AVENUE <br /> TO GRAND AVENUE; AND FIXING THE TIME AND PLACE FOR <br /> HEARING OBJECTIONS TO THE ESTABLISHMENT OF SAID SET- <br /> BACK LINES. <br /> <br /> The City Council of the City of Santa Ana, pursuant to the provisions of <br /> Ordinance No. 813 of the City of Santa Ana prescribing the method of procedure for <br /> establishing set-back lines in the City of Santa Ana, do resolve as follows: <br /> <br /> Section 1. That the public interest and convenience requires, and it is the <br />intehtlon of the City Couucil of the City of Santa Ana, California, to establish set- <br />back lines upon the following street in said City of Santa Ana, between which and the <br />respective street lines of said street it shall be unlawful to erect any buildingor <br />structure or to p~ace any structure thereon, to-wit: East Washington Avenue from <br />Lincoln Avenue to Grand Avenue, on both sides of said street, forty (~40) feet Northerly <br />and Forty (40) feet Southerly from the surveyed center line of Washington Avenue between <br />the said Lincoln Avenue and Grand Avenue. <br /> <br /> Said set-back line on the Northerly side of Washington Avenue being ten (lC) <br />feet outside of the present Northerly line of said Washington Avenue, and the set-back <br />line on the Southerly side of said Washington Avenue being the following line, to-wit: <br /> <br /> Beginning at a E <br /> point in the asterly line of Lincoln Avenue, said <br /> point being fifteen (15) feet Southerly from the Southerly line of <br /> Washington Avenue; thence Easterly and parallel to the Southerly line <br /> ef ~ashington Avenue seven (~) feet to a point in the Westerly line of <br /> Lot B 4 o~ Dean's Addition as per map thereof on file in Records of <br /> Survey, Book l, Page ~2~ Records of Orange County, California; thence <br /> continuing Easterly and parallel to the Southerly line of ~ashin~ton <br /> Avenue and at a distance ~f twenty-two (22) feet Southerly therefrom to <br /> an intersection with the Easterly line of Lot A3 of said Dean's Addition; <br /> thence continuing Easterly and parallel to the Southerly line of Washington <br /> Avenue and at a distance of ten (lC) feet Southerly therefrom to an <br /> intersection with the Westerly line of Grand Avenue. <br /> <br /> Section 2. Notice is hereby given that on the 19th day of August, 1929, at <br />?:30 o'clock P.~. in the Council Chamber of the City Hall of the said City of Santa Ana <br />any and all persons having any objections to ~he establishment of said set-back lines, <br />or either of them, may appear before the City Council and show cause why an ordinance <br />should not be passed and adopted establishing said set-back lines on the above mentioned <br />street in accordance with this Resolution. <br /> <br /> That all persons desiring to so appear should file with the City Clerk of the <br />City of Santa Ana, before the hour herein set~ a written protest a6ainst the establishmen <br />of said set-back lines designated herein, or any part thereof. <br /> <br /> And no other protests or objections will be considered. <br /> <br /> Section 3. The Santa Ana Daily Evening Register, a daily newspaper published <br />and circulated and of general circulation in the City of Santa Ana, is hereby designated <br />as the newspaper in which this Resolution of Intention shall be published, and the City <br />Clerk of said City is hereby directed to cause this Resolution of Intention to be pub- <br />lishedby one insertion in said newspaper, which publication shall be at least ten (lC) <br />days before the time of said hea~ing. <br /> <br />Section 4. The Street Superintendent of said City shall, after the adoption <br />of th~ Resolution cf Intention, cause to be conspicuously posted in front of each block <br /> <br />or part of block upon the streets <br />proposed to be established a copy <br />fo~m prescribed by said ordinance <br /> <br />or portion of streets where said set-back lines are <br />of this Resolution of Intention, in the manner and <br />No. 813 of said City. <br /> <br />>..51 <br /> <br /> <br />
