RESOLUTION ORDERING WORK

<br /> WHEREAS, ~he City Council of the City of Santa Ana, on the 1Sth day of July,
<br /> 1929, pawsed its Resolution of Intention No. 2111, to order ~he hereinafter described
<br /> work to be cone and improvement to be made in, on and along portions of Bishop Street,
<br /> Wakeham Avenue, Wisteria Place, Beverly Place, Harwood Place, 0aS Street, Kilson Drive
<br /> and Hickory Street, which Resolution of Intention No. 2111 was duly and legally pub-
<br /> lished twice in the Santa Ana Daily Evening Register, a daily newspaper published and
<br /> circulated in the City of Santa Ana, all as required by law, as appears from the affidav
<br /> of W. Lee Millis, principal clerk of ~he printers and publishers of said daily
<br /> and which affidavit was filed in the office of the Clerk of the City of Santa Ana, on t~
<br /> 19th day of July, 1929; and
<br />
<br /> WHEREAS, after the passage and adoption of said Resolution of Intention No.
<br /> 2111, the Street Superintendent of The City of Santa Ana conspicuously posted along the
<br /> line of the contemplated work and improvement, at not more than three hundred (500) feet
<br /> in distance apart, and 80 in all, notices of the passage of said Resolution of Intention
<br /> headed, NOTICE OF IMPROVEMENT~ in the manner, form and substance as required by law,
<br /> and the work being chargeable upon a district, also conspicuously posted copies of
<br /> said notice along all of the open streets within such district at not more than three
<br /> hundred (300) feet in distance apart, as appears from the affidavit of C. L. Jenken,
<br /> said Street Superintendent, who personally posted said notices of improvement; and
<br />
<br /> WHEREAS, the Street Superintendent of the City of Santa Ana, commenced to
<br /> post said notices on the 24th day of July, 1929, and fully completed the posti~ng thereof
<br /> on the 24th day of July, 1929, more than ten (10) days before the date set for hearing
<br /> protests or objections to the proposed work and improvement all as appears from the
<br /> affidavit of C. L. Jenken, Street Superintendent of the City of Santa Aha, filed in the
<br /> office of the Clerk of said City on the 2Sth day of July, 1929, and now on file
<br /> t~erein; and
<br />
<br /> WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Santa Aha was duly and regularly in
<br /> session at the Council Chamber thereof at the hour of 7:30 o'clock P.M. on Monday, the
<br /> 8th day of August, 1929, being the time, hour and place named in the Resolution of
<br /> Intention and Notice of Improvement, when and where any and all persons having any
<br /> objection to the proposed work or improvement may appear Oefore the City Council and show
<br /> cause why said proposed work should not be carried out in accordance with said Resolutio~
<br /> of Intention No. 2111; and
<br />
<br /> WHEREAS, all protests or objections presented having been disposed of, over-
<br /> ruled and denied, in time, manner and form as required by law, and the City Council of
<br /> the City of Santa Aha having acquired Jurisdiction to order the proposed work done and
<br /> improvement made;
<br />
<br /> IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Santa Ana that the
<br />public interest and convenience requires the work done and improvement made particularly
<br />set forth and described in Reso2ution of Intention No. 2111, which is dated the 15th day
<br />of July, 1929, on file in the office of the Clerk of said City and hereby referred to an.
<br />made a part hereof, and the City Council of the City of Santa Ana hereby orders the work
<br />to be done and improvement to 0e made in said City, as particularly set forth and descrlb~
<br />in the said Resolution of Intention No. 2111 as aforesaid.

<br /> That the expense of said work and improvement is by said Resolution of Intentio~
<br />made chargeable upon a district which said district is described in and by the said
<br />
