RESOLUTION ORDERING WORK

<br /> V~tEREAS, the City Council of the City of Santa Ana, on the 15th day of July,
<br />1929, passed its Resolution of Intention No. 2109, to order the hereinafter described
<br />work to be done and improvement to be made in, on and along portions of Grand Avenue
<br />and East Second Street, which Resolution of Intention No. 2109 was duly and legally
<br />published twice in the Santa Aha Daily Evening Register, a daily newspaper published
<br />and circulated in the City of Santa Ana, all as required by law, as appears from the
<br />affidavit of W. Lee Millis, principal clerk, of the printers and publishers of said daily
<br />newspaper, and which affidavit was filed in the office of the Clerk of the City of
<br />Santa Aha, on.the 19th day of July, 1929; and
<br />
<br /> WHEREAS, after the passage and adoption of said Resolution of Intention No.
<br />2109, the Street Superintendent of the City of Santa Ana conspicuously posted along
<br />the line of the contemplated work and improvement, at not more than three hundred (300)
<br />feet in distance apart, and 23 in all, notices of the passage of said Resolution of
<br />Intention, headed, NOTICE OF IMPROVEMENT, in the manner, foEn and substance as required
<br />by law, and the work being chargeable upon a district, also conspicuously posted
<br />copies of said notice along all of the open streets within such district at not more
<br />than three hundred (300) feet in distance apart, as appears from the affidavit of
<br />C.L.Jenken, said Street Superintendent, who personally posted said notices of improvement
<br />and
<br />
<br /> WHEREAS, the Street Superintendent of the City of Santa Aha, commenced to post
<br />said notices on the 24th day of July, 1929, and fully completed the posting thereof on
<br />the 24th day of July, 1929, more than ten (10) days before the date set for hearing pro-
<br />testa or objections to the proposed work and improvement, all as appears from the
<br />affidavit of C.L.Jenken, Street Superintendent of the City of Santa Aha, filed in the
<br />Office of the Clerk of said City on the 2Sth day of July, 1929, and now on file therein;

<br />and
<br />
<br /> WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Santa Aha was duly and regularly in
<br /> session at the Council Chamber thereof at the hour of 7:3o otcloc$ P.M. on Monday, the
<br /> Sth day cf August, 1929, being the time, hour and place named in the Resolution of
<br /> Intention and Notice of Improvement, when and where any and all persons having any
<br /> objection to the proposed work or improvement may appear before the City Council and show
<br /> cause why said proposed work should not be carried out in accordance with said
<br /> Resolution of;Intention No. 2109; and
<br />
<br /> WHEREAS, all protests or objections presented having oeen disposed of, overrule
<br />and denied, in time, manner and form as required by law, and the City Council of the City
<br />of Santa Aha having acquired Jurisdiction to order the proposed work done and improvement
<br />made;
<br />
<br /> IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Santa Aha that the
<br />public interest and convenience requires the work done and improvement made particularly
<br />set forth and described in Resolution of Intention No. 2109, which is dated the 15th
<br />day of July, 1929, on file in the office of the Clerk of said City and hereby referred to
<br />and made a part hereof, and the City Council of the City of Santa Ana hereby orders th~
<br />work to be done and improvement to Ge made in said City, as particularly set forth and
<br />described in the said Resolution of Intention No. 2109 as aforesaid.
