RESOLUTION ORDERING WORK

<br /> WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Santa Aha, on the Grd day of
<br /> February, 1930, passed its Resolution of Intention No. 2166, to order the herein-
<br /> after described work to be done and improvement to be made in, on and along a
<br /> portion of that open public street in said City, commonly known as and called
<br /> Lowell Street, and a certain right of way in said City, which Resolution of Inte~
<br /> ion No. 2166 was duly and legally published twice in the Santa Ana Daily Evening
<br /> Register, a daily newspaper published and circulated in the City of Santa Ana, all
<br /> as required by law, as appears from the affidavit of W. Lee Millis, principal
<br /> clerk of the printers and publishers of said daily newspaper, and which affidavit
<br /> was filed in the office of the Clerk of the City of Santa Ana, on the 6th day of
<br /> February, 1930; and
<br />
<br /> WHEREAS, after the passag~ and adoption of said Resolution of Intention
<br /> No. 2166, the Street Superintendent of the City of Santa Ana conspicuously posted
<br /> along the line of the contemplated work and improvement, at not more than three
<br /> hundred (300) feet in distance apart, and ll in all, notices of the passage of
<br />
<br />said Resolution of Intention, headed, NOTICE 0F I}.~PROV~IENT, in the manner, form
<br /> and subst~nce as required by law, and the work being chargeable upon a district,
<br /> also conspicuously posted copies of said notice along all of the open streets
<br /> within such district at not more than three hundred (300) feet in distance apart,
<br /> as appears from the affidavit of C.L.Jenken, said Street Superintendent, who
<br /> personally posted said notices of improvement; and
<br />
<br /> WHEREAS, the Street Superintendent of the City of Santa Ana, commenced
<br />to post said notices on the llth day of February, 1930, and fully completed the
<br />posting thereof on the llth day of February, 19JO, more than ten (10) days before
<br />the date set for hearing protests or objections to the proposed work and improve-
<br />ment, all as appears from the affidavit of C.L.Jenken, Street Superintendent

<br /> ~he City of Santa Ana, filed in the office of the Clerk of said City on the lJth
<br /> day of February, 19J0, and now on file therein; and
<br />
<br /> WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Santa Ana was duly and regularl
<br />in session at the Council Chamber thereof at the hour of 7:J0 o~clock P.M. on
<br />Honday, the 24th day of February, 19~0, being the time, hour and place named in
<br />the Resolution of Intention and Notice of Improvemen$, when and where any and all
<br />persons having any objection to the proposed wprk or improvement may appear before
<br />the City Council and show cause why said proposed work should not be carried out
<br />in a ccordauce with said Resolution of Intention No. 2166; and
<br />
<br /> ~EREAS, all protests or objections presented having been disposed of,
<br />overruled and denied, in time, mar~uer and form as required by law, and the City
<br />Council of the City of Santa Ana having acquired jurisdiction to order the pro-
<br />posed work done and improvement ~uade;
<br />
<br /> IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Santa Ana
<br />that the public interest and convenience requires ~he work done and i~orovement
<br />made particularly set forth and described in Resolution of Intention No. 2166~
<br />which is dated the 8rd day of February, 1980, on file in the office of the Clerk
<br />of said City and hereby referred to and made a part hereof, and the City Council
<br />
