RESOLUTION ~tDERING WORK

<br /> ~EREAS, the City Council of the City of Santa Aha, on the 28th day of April,
<br /> 1930, pas~ed its Resolution of Intention No. 21~9, to order the hereinafter described
<br /> work to be done and improvement to be made in, on and along portions of Main Street,
<br /> Cypress Avenue, Orange Avenue, Maple Street, Measor Street, Halladay Street, Evergreen
<br /> Street, St. Andrew's Place, St. Gertrudets Place, Delhi Road, Flora Street, Central
<br /> Avenue, Adams otreet, ~mmett Street, Goetz Avenue, Dyer Road, Anahurst Place, certain
<br /> rights-of-wv, and a certain parcel of City property, which Resolution of Intention No.
<br /> ~189 was duly and legally published twice in the Santa Ana Daily Evening ~egister, a
<br /> daily newspaper published and ~irculated in the City of Santa Ana, all as required by
<br /> law, as appears from the affidavit of W. Lee ~illis, principal C~erk of the printers and
<br /> publishers of said daily newspaper, and which affidavit was filed in the Office of the
<br /> Clerk of the City of Santa Ana, on the 1st day of ~ay, 1930; and
<br />
<br /> ~EREAS, after the passage and adoption of said Resolution of Intention No.
<br /> ~189, the Street Superintendent of the City of Santa ~a conspicuously posted along the
<br /> line of the contemplated work and improvement, at not more than three hundred (~00) feet
<br /> in distance apart, and 1~8 in all, notices of the passage of said Resolution of Intent-
<br /> ion, headed, NOTICE OF INPROVEMENT, in the manner, form and substance as required by
<br /> law, and the w~rk being chargeable upon a district, also conspicuously posted copies of
<br /> said notice along all of the open streets within such district at not more than three
<br /> hundred (300) feet in distance apart, as appears from the affidavit of C. L. Jenken,
<br /> said Street Superintendent, who personally posted said notices of improvement;
<br />
<br /> WHEREAS, the Street Superintendent of the City of Santa Eha, co~aenced to
<br /> post sai~ notices on the 8th day of Nay, 19S0, and fully completed the posting thereof
<br /> on the 8th day of ~ay, 1~30, more than ten (10) days before the date set for hearing
<br /> protests or objections to the proposed work and improvement, all as appears from the
<br /> affidavit of C. L. Jenken, Street Superintendent of the City of Santa Ana, filed in the
<br /> Office of the Clerk of said City on the 1Sth day of May, 19~0, and now on file therein;
<br /> and
<br />
<br /> WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Santa Ana was duly and regularly in
<br />session at the Council Chamber thereof at the hour of ~:~0 o~clock P.N. on Monday, the
<br />l~th day of Nay, 1~30, being the time, hour and place named in the Resolution of Intent-
<br />ion and Notice of Improvement, when and where any and all persons having any objections
<br />to the proposed work or improvement may appear before the City Council and show cause
<br />why said proposed work should not be carried out in accordance with said Resolution of
<br />Intention No. ~189; and
<br />
<br /> WHEREAS, all protests or objections presented having been disposed of, over-
<br />ruled and denied, in time, manner and f~rm as required by law, and the City Council of
<br />the City of Santa Ana having acquired jurisdiction to order the proposed work done and
<br />improvement made;
<br />
<br /> IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Santa Aha that the
<br />public interest and convenience requires the work done and improvement made particularly
<br />set forth and described in Resolution of Intention No. 2189, which is dated the ~Sth
<br />day of April, 1950, on file in the Office of the Clerk of said City and hereby referred
<br />
