The City Council of the City of Santa A/la, pursuant to the provisions of the Improvement Act of 1911, and the Improvement Bond Act of 1915, and amendments to said acts, do resolve as follows: Section 1. That the public interest and convenience requires a nd it is the intention of the City Council of the City of Sm~ta Ana, California, to order the con- struction of the following work and improvements in said City, to-wit: That the pdrtions of streets in the City of Santa Ana upon which work shall be done and improvements shall be made as hereinafter set forth are upon and along those open public streets commonly l~o~'m as and called Shelton Street between the center line of First Street and the center line of Fairview Avenue; First Street between a line drawn parallel to and distant five (5) feet West of the Westerly line of Shelton Street and a line drav~ parallel to and distant ten (10) feet East of the Easterly line of Shelton Street; Walnut Street between the Easterly line of Shelton Street and a line drawn parallel to and distant ten (10) feet East of the Easterly line of Shelton Street; Pine Street between the i~asterly line of Shelton Street as it exists North of Pine Street and a line drawn parallel to and distant ten (10) feet East of the said Easterly line of Shelton Street. That the work to be done and improvements to be made upon and along the herein- before desdribed portions of said streets in accordance with the plans and specification~ therefor as hereinafter mentioned shall be as follows: That Shelton Street between First Street and Pine Street shall be graded and paved with Asphaltic Concrete Pavement from the westerly curb line to the easterly prope~ line of said Shelton Street; that Shelton Street between Pine Street ~d Myrtle Street shall be graded and paved with asphaltic concrete pavement from crumb line to curb line and where cross streets or alleys intersect the grading and paving shall extend back of the curb line to the extended property lines of said street, and at driveway locations the grading and paving shall extend back of the curb line to the street side of the side- walk; that Shelton Street between ~yrtle Street and Highland Street shall be graded and paved with asphaltic concrete pavement from the Easterly curb line to a line parallel to and distant ten (10) feet west of the center line of said Shelton Street, and where cross streets intersect the grading and paving shall extend back of the curb line to the extended property lines of said street, and at driveway locations the grading and paving shall extend back of the curb line to the street:side of the sidewalk; that Shelto: ~y
