RESOLUTION NO. 2204 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA, <br />CALIFORNIA, RELATING TO. THE ISSUANCE OF STREET IMPROVEMENT <br />BONDS PURSUANT TO RESOLUTION OF INTENTION NO. 2132; <br />DETERMINING THE AMOUNT OF UNPAID ASSESSMENTS; PRESCRIBING <br />THE ~ENOMINATION OF SUCH BONDS AND PROVIDING FOR THEIR <br />ISSUANCE IN ANNUAL SERIES: <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to statute, notice of the filing of list of unpaid assess- <br /> ments was duly given in the m~nner and form required by law, that the warrant, assess- <br /> ment and diagram was recorded on the 29th day of April, 1930, for the work and improve- <br /> ment made by Griffith Company,~under that certain contract awarded to it on the 2$th <br /> day of November, 1929, upon portions cf Martha Lane, Pacific Avenue and Bristol Street, <br /> as set forth in Resolution of Intention No. 2132; and that said warrant, assessment <br /> and diagram were returned to the Street Superintendent of said City, together with a <br /> w2itten statement of all payments received upon the said assessment; and after the <br /> full expiration of thirty i30) days after the date cf recording ef said warrant, the <br /> said Street Superintendent~dul~made and filed with the City Clerk of said City of <br /> Santa Aha, a complete list cf all assessments unpaid upon the said assessment, which <br /> list is now on file in the office of the City Clerk of said City; now upon evidence <br /> shown, the City Council determines that the assessments therein mentioned were then <br /> unpaid, the total aggregate thereof being the sum of Fifteen Thousand One Hundred <br /> Seventy-four and 68/100 Dollars ($1~,174.6@), and that no assessments have been paid <br /> since the filing of the list of unpaid assessments by the Street Superintendent, and <br /> that there now remains unpaid the sum of Fifteen Thousand One Hundred Seventy-fcu~ and <br /> 68/100 Dollars ($1~,174.68i, upon the assessments shown upon said list. <br /> <br /> Reference is hereby made to Resolution of Intention No. 2132 of the City <br /> Council of the City of Santa Aha, passed on the 14th day of October, 1929, for a <br /> complete description of the work herein mentioned, and to the list of unpaid assessments <br /> filed as above stated for the assessments unpaid; and ~ <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, interested persons were notified in the manner required by law to <br />appesm before the City Council in the Council Cb-mber of the City Hall of said City at <br />the hou~ of 7:~0 otclock P.M. on Monday, the 18th day of June, 1930, and show cause why <br />bonds should not be issued upon the security of the unpaid assessments shown on the <br />Street ~uperintendent's list; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, notice was duly given in the manner and form required by law, that <br />serial bonds to represent unpaid assessments, bearing interest at the rate of six per- <br />cent per annum, will be issued hereunder, in the manner provided in the "Improvement <br />Bond Act of 191~", the last installment of which bonds shall mature nine years from the <br />2nd day of July,~next succeeding ten {10) months from their date; and all interested <br />persons having appeared before this City Council and having been given a full <br />opportunity to show cause why bonds should not be issued upon the security of the un- <br />paid assessments shown on said list, and all objections presented having been heard and <br />considered. <br /> <br /> IT IS THEREFORE NOWBYTHE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA, DETERMINED, <br />RESOLVED AND ORDERED AS FOLLOWS: That no cause has been shown why bonds should not be <br />issued upon the security of said unpaid assessments, and does hereby overrule all <br />objections thereto, and does hereby direct the issuance of said bonds; and further, <br /> <br /> <br />
