RESOLUTION NO, 59-159 DECL&RING PROTEST AGAINST <br />"VERAN0 AND HAZARD ~,1'. E. Aii<[NEX'~ WAS NOT MADE BY <br />OWNERS OF ONE-HALF THE VALUE OF THE TERRITORY <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Santa Aha, by Reso- <br />lution No. ~9-12~ initis, ted proceedings for the annexation of certain <br />territory and fixed July 6, 19~9 as the time for hearing protests of <br />owners within said territory, and at said hearing protest was filed <br />by one owner, and the matter was continued until July 20, 19~9, for <br />the CI~ rk' s report as to the percentage of ownership, at which time <br />the Clerk of the Councilr eported that said protest represented ~8~ <br />per cent of the value of said territory; <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the City Council finds, <br />determines and declares that Resolution 1qo. 59-124 was regularly <br />published as required by law; that notice 'was duly mailed to each person <br />to whom ls. nd was assessed within t he territory proposed to be annexed <br /> <br />by said Resolution; that the protest hearing was regularly held and <br />that protest was filed by Will B. and Charlo~J~9~ Dm. Cross; that the <br />assessed value of the property owned by said protestants was and is <br />~!~,~30.00; that the total value of the land and improvements in the <br />territory so proposed to be annexed was $19,270.00, all as shown in <br />the last equalized County assessment roll available on the date the <br />proceedings were initiated; that protest was and is made by the owners <br />of 28.69 per cent of the value of said territory, and that protest <br />was not made by the owners of one-half of the value of said territory. <br /> <br /> PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Santa <br /> <br />Ana at its regular meeting held on the 20th day of July, 19~9. <br /> <br />ATTEST: ~ <br /> ~Y~ERK OF -~E COUNCIL <br /> <br /> <br />
