RESOLUTION ORDERING WORK

<br /> wHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Santa Ana, on the 15th day of
<br /> December, 1950, passed its Resolution of Intention No. 2268, to order the herein-
<br /> after described work to be done and improvement to be made in, on and along a
<br /> portion of Flower Street, which Resolution of Intention No. 2268 was duly and
<br /> legally published twice in the Santa Ana Daily Evening Register, a daily newspaper
<br /> published and circulated in the City of San~ Aha all as required by law, as
<br /> appears from the affidavit of W. Lee Millis, principal clerk of the printers and
<br /> publishers of said daily newspaper, and which affidavit was filed in the office of
<br /> the Clerk of the City of Santa Aha, on the 22nd day of December, 1950; and
<br />
<br /> WHEREAS, after the passage and adoptinn of said Resolution of Intention
<br /> No. 2288, the Street S~erintendent of the City of Santa Aha conspicuously posted
<br /> along the line of the contemplated work and improvement, at not more than three
<br /> hundred (300) feet in distance apart, and ll in all, notices of the passage of
<br /> said Resolution of Intention, headed, NOTICE OF IMPROVEMENT, in the manner~ form
<br /> and substance as required by law, and the work being chargeable upon a district,
<br /> also conspicuously posted copies of said notice along all of the open streets
<br /> within such district at not more than three hundred (~00) feet in distance apart,
<br /> as appears from the affidavit of C. L. Jenken, said Street Superintendent, who
<br /> personally posted said ~otices of improvement; and
<br />
<br /> %~EREAS, the Street Superintendent of the City of Santa Aha, commenced
<br /> to post said notices on the 23rd day of December, 1930, and fully completed the
<br /> posting thereof on the 23rd day of December, 1930, more than ten (10) days before
<br /> the date set for hearing protests or objections to the proposed work and improve-
<br /> ment, all as appears from the affidavit of C.L.Jenken, Street Superintendent of
<br /> the City of Santa Ana, filed in the office of the Clerk of said City on the ~3rd
<br /> day of December, 1930, and now on file therein; and
<br />
<br /> WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of ~anta Aha was duly and regnlarl
<br /> in session at the Council Chamber thereof at the hour of ~:30 o~clock p.~. on
<br /> Nonday, the 8th day of January, 19~l, being the time, hour and place named in the
<br /> Resolution of Intention and Notice of Improvement, when and where any and all
<br /> persons having any objections to the proposed work or improvement may appear befor~
<br /> the City Council and show cause why said proposed work should not be carried out
<br /> in accordance with said Resolution of Intention No. ~2~8; and
<br />
<br /> '~EREAS, all protests or objections presented having been disposed of,
<br />overruled and denied, in time, manner and form as required by law, and the City
<br />Council of the City of Santa Ana having acquired jurisdiction to order the pro-
<br />posed work done and improvement made;
<br />
<br /> IT IS HEREBY RESOLVh~, by the City Council of the City of Santa Ana
<br />that the public interest and convenience requires the work done and improvement
<br />made particularly set forth and describe~ in Resolution of Intention No. 2~88~
<br />which is dated the lSth day of December, 19SO, on file in the of£ice of the Clerk
<br />of said City and hereby referred to and made a part hereof, and the City Council
<br />of the City of Santa Aha hereby orders the work to be done and improvement to be
<br />made in said City, as particularly set forth and described in the said Resolution
<br />of Intention No. S288, as aforesaid.
