RESOLUTION ORDERING WORK

<br /> WM~REAS, the City Council of the City of Santa Aha, on the 12th day of
<br /> January, 19J1, passed its Resolution of Intention No. 2280 to order the herein-
<br /> after described work to be done and improvement to be made in, on and along portio~
<br /> of those open public streets in said City, commonly known as and called Richland
<br /> Street from the Westerly line of Flower Street to the Easterly line of Shelton
<br /> Street and the Westerly half of Flower Street between the Easterly extended Northe~
<br /> and Southerly lines of Richland Street, which Resolution of Intention No. 22~0 was
<br /> duly and legally published twice in the Santa Aha Daily Evening Register, a daily
<br /> newspaper published and circulated in the City of Santa Aha, all as required by
<br /> law, as appears from the affidavit of W. Lee Millis, principal clerk of the printex
<br /> and publishers of said daily newspaper, and which affidavit was f~l~d in the
<br /> office of the Clerk of the City of Santa Aha, on the lSth day of January, 1931;
<br /> amd
<br />
<br /> ~, after the passage and adoption of said Resolution of Intention
<br />No. 2280, the Street Superintendent of the City of Santa Aha conspicuously posted
<br />along the line of the contemplated wor$ and improvement, at not more than three
<br />hmmdred ($00) feet in distance apart, and 11 in all, notices of the passage of
<br />'said Resolution of Intention, headed, NOTICE OF IMPROVEMENT, in the manner, fo~m
<br />and substance as required by law, and the work being chargeable upon a district,
<br />also conspicuously posted copies of said notice along all of the open streets
<br />within such district at not more than three hundred (300) feet in distance apart,
<br />as appears from the affidavit of C.L.Jenken, said Street Superintendent, who
<br />personally posted said notices of improvement;

<br /> ~AS, the Street Superintendent of the City of Santa Aha, commenced
<br />to post said notices on the 21st day of January, 1~1, and ~ally completed the
<br />posting thereof on the 21st day of January, 1531, more than ten (10) days before
<br />the date set for hearing protests or objections to the proposed work and improve-
<br />ment, all as appears from the affidavit of C.L.Jenken, Street Superintendent of
<br />the City of Santa Aha, filed in the office of the Clerk of said City on the 22nd
<br />day of January, 1~31, and now on file therein; and

<br /> wH~HEAS, the City Council of the City of Santa Ama was duly and regularly
<br />in session at the Council Chamber thereof at the hour of ?:30 o'clock P.M. on
<br />Monday, the 2nd day of February, 1~31, being the time, hour and place named in the
<br />Resolution of Intention and Notice of Improvement, when and where any and all
<br />persons having any objection to the proposed work or improvement may appear before
<br />the City Council and show cause why said proposed work should not be carried out
<br />in accordance with said Resolution of Intention No. 2280; and
<br />
<br /> WHEREAS, all protests er objections presented having been disposed of,
<br />overruled and denied, in time, manner and fo~m as required by law, and the City
<br />Council of the City of Santa Aha having acquired J~isdiction to order the pre-
<br />posed work done and improvememt made;
<br />
<br /> IT IS HEREBYRESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Santa Ana that
<br />the public interest and convenience requires the work done and improvement made
<br />
