RESOLUTION N0.59-206 INITIATING PROCEEDINGS FOR THE ANNEX- ATION OF TERRITORY TO THE CITY OF SANTA ~kNA, DESIGNATING AN APPROPRIATE NA~E OF "EDINGER AND DOREEN SOUTH A~" A~D GIVING NOTICE OF TIME ~D PLACE OF HEARIiiG PROTESTS THERETO ~EEREAS, at the request of property owners in the territory hereinbelow described, a description and map of said territory was presented to the Santa .~ua Planning Commission and s~ d Conimission has approved the annexation of said territory and the Boundary Com- mission of Ora~ ge County has approved said description as being reas- onably definite and certain; NOW, THERE~'0RE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the City Council of the City of Santa Ana hereby initiates proceedings for the annexation of real property herein described to said City for the ~ llowing reasons: 1. ~ihat t[~e area can best be served by the City of S~ta Ana with municipal services of t~e hig!~est caliber anywhere obtainable. 2. That said territory would receive the greatest economic benefit by becoming a part of the City of Santa Ana. BE IT _~VJR~tER RESOLVED: That the City Council hereby declares its intention to annex all of the territory hereinbelow described under the provisions of the Annexation of Uninhabited Territory Act of 1939 and hereby finds and declares that said territory is unin- habited within the meaning of Government Code Section 5~30~ on the date of the adoption of this Resolution; that said territory is con- tiguous to the City of Santa Ana, lies in the County of Orange, State of California, and is described as: Beginning at a point on the center line of Edinger Street, 1,~34.00 feet westerly from the intersection of the center lines of Edinger Street and Bristol Street, said point of beginning being a point on the existing boundary of the City of Santa Ana, said point also being the intersection of the center line of Edinger Street with the northerly extension of the west line of Lot 3 as shown on a Record of Survey Map filed in Book 3, page 29, Record of Surveys in the Office of the County Recorder of Ors~ge County, California; thence de- parting from said City boundary South 00© ll' 2~" West along said west line of Lot 3 and its northerly extension 6~9.64 feet to the southerly line of the tract of land described in deed to H. ~'.
