2 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2341 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />SANTA ANA, DECLARING THEIR INTENTION TO 0RDRR <br />THE CLOSING UP AND ABANDONMENT OF A P~{TION OF <br />WALNUT STREET AND A PORTION OF PINE STREET; <br />DECLARING IT TO BE FOR THE PUBLIC INTEREST AND <br />CONVENIENCE; AND FIXING THE TIME AND PLACE FOR <br />HEARING OBJECTIONS TO SAID PROPOSED IMPROVPLME~T <br /> <br /> THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA, CALIFORNIA, pursuant to the ~ro- <br /> visions of an Act of the Legislature of the State of California, known as "STREET 0PENIN~ <br /> ACT OF 1889", and approved March 6, 1889, and amendments thereto, resolves and declares <br /> as follows: <br /> <br /> SECTION l: That the public interest and convenience requires the closing up <br /> and abandonment of a portion of Walnut Street and a portion of Pine Street as hereinafte~ <br /> described in the City of Santa Ana, California, and it is the intention of the City <br /> Council of the City of Santa Aha to order the following portions of Walnut Street'and of <br /> Pine Street in said City to be closed up and abandoned, to-wit: <br /> <br /> That portion of Walnut Street, as shown on Map of Tract No. 610, <br /> recorded in Book 19, page 12 of Miscellaneous Maps, Records of Orange <br /> County, California, lying between the Westerly line of Baker Street <br /> and Easterly of a line drawn from the southeasterly corner of Lot <br /> Seventeen (17) in Block "~i" to the Northeasterly corner of Lot Twelve <br /> (12) in Block "B" of said Tract No. 610; and that portion of Pine Street <br /> lying between the ~esterly line of Baker Street and Easterly of a line <br /> drawn from the Southeasterly corner of Lot Seventeen (17) in Block "N" to <br /> the northeasterly corner of Lot Twelve (12) in Block "C" of said Tract <br /> No. 610~ <br /> <br /> all of which is more clearly shown on a certain map approved and adopted by the City <br /> Council of the City of Santa Ana for the said abandonment by Hesolution No. 2340 on the <br /> 8th day of August, 19J2. <br /> <br /> SECTION 2: That the said City Council of the City of Santa Ana does further <br /> declare that the lots, lands or premises affected by the closing up and abandonment of <br /> the hereinbefore described portions of Walnut Street and Pine Street and benefited by <br /> said improvement are those certain parcels of real property described as follows, to-wit <br /> <br /> Lots 18, 19, 20, 21, 22, 23, 24, 25, 26, 27, and 28 in Tract "A"; <br /> Lots 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, t!, 19, 19, 20, 21, 22, 23, 24, 25, <br /> 26, 27 and 28 in Block "N", and Lots 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7,$~ 9, 10 and <br /> 11 in Block "C", as per map thereof recorded i~ BooS 19, page 12 of <br /> Miscellaneous Maps, Records of Orange County, California. <br /> <br /> SECTION 3: That the proceedings for the closing up of the aforesaid portion <br />of Walnut Street and of Pine Street shall be had and taken under and in accordance with <br />an Act of the Legislature of the State of California, designated and known as <br /> <br /> "AN ACT TO PROVIDE FOR LAYING OUT, EXTENDING, WIDENING, STRAIGHTENING <br /> OR CLOSING UP IN ?~0LE OR IN PART OF ANY STREET, SQ~E, LANE, ALLEY, 0R <br /> COURT OR PLACE WITHIN MUNICIPALITIES, TO CONDEMN AND ACQU~{E ANY AND ALL <br /> LAND AND PROPERTY NECESSARY OR CONVEIIENT FOR THAT PURPOSE", <br /> <br />approved March 6, 1889, and amendments thereto. <br /> <br /> .~ECTION 4: The Street Superintendent shall cause to be conspicuously posted <br />along the line of said contemplated work and improvement, at not more than three hundred <br />(~00) feet in distance apart, but not less than t_hree in all, notices of the passage of <br />this Resolution, in the form and manner as required by law; and he shall also cause a <br />notice similar in substance for a period of ten (10) days to be published in the Santa <br />Ana Daily Evening Register, a daily newspaper published and circulated and of general <br />circulation in the City of Santa Ana, California, and hereby designated for that purpose <br />by the City Council, containing a statement of the fact of the passage of this Resolutio~ <br />of Intention, its date and briefly describing the work or improvement proposed, and <br /> <br /> <br />
