RESOLUTI07[ 0RD]d~ING II.[PROVEMENT <br /> N0. 2S58 <br /> <br /> V~EREAS, the City Council of the City of Santa Aha, on the 20th day of <br />March, 19S~, passed its Aesolution of Intention No. ~S55 ordering the hereinafter <br />described improvement to be made and public work to be done in the 'City of [~anta <br />Xna; and <br /> <br /> V~IEREAS, after the passage and ado: tion of 'Aesolution of' Intention <br />Z$5S, the Street Superintendent of the City of Santa Aha, conspicuously posted <br />along the line of the contemplated work and i provement, at not more than three <br />hundred (SO0) feet in distance apart and six in all, notices of the pass,igc of <br />said Resolution of Intention, headed, "NOTICE O? P~:~LiC L'0~K", in the manner, form <br />and substance as required by law, and said Street Superintendent also caused a <br />notice similar in substance to be published for a period of ten (10) days in the <br />Santa Ana Daily Evening Register, ~ daily newspaper published and circulated in th~ <br />City of Santa Aha, and named by said City Council in said Resolution of intention <br />as the paper in which said notice should appear, all as appears from the affidavit <br />of W. Lee Millis, principal Clerk of the printers and publishers of said daily <br />newspaper, and which affidavit was filed in the office of the Clerk of the City of <br />Santa Aha on the 5th day of April, 19g , and is ~ow en file therein; and <br /> <br /> V~IEREAS, the Street Superintendent of the City of Santa Aha eo~:'~aenced <br />the posting of the notices hereinbefore referred to on the S4th day of ldarch~ <br />and full?r completed the posting thereof on the S4th da?r of 1.,~arch, 19~, as tp pears <br />from the affidavit of J. L. McBride, Street Superintendent of the City of ~anta <br />Ana, and more than ten (10) days having expired after the expiratioh of the time <br />of the publication of said notice within which protests or objections to the <br />proposed work or improvement might be made by any person interested objecting to <br />said work or improvement, or to the extent of the district or lands to be affected <br />or benefited by said work or improvement and to be asaeased to pay the costs and <br />expenses thereof; and <br /> <br /> V,V_tEREAS, at the next meeting of the City Co~mcil after the e_~?iration <br />of said ten days after the expiration of the time of the publication of said <br />notice, and no objection to said work or improvement having been made or on file <br />why said proposed improvement should not be carried out in accordance with said <br />Resolution of Intention, the City Council of the City' of Santa Aha having now <br /> <br /> jurisdiction to order the proposed imp?ovement, made its Resolution as <br /> <br />acquired <br />follows: <br /> <br />IT IS HERE~ R~SOLVED AND OXD?II].'~D that the public interest and <br /> <br />convenience requires the work hereinafter described and the City Council of the <br /> <br />City of Santa Ana hereby orders the following work to be done and i~'~provement made <br /> <br />in the City of Santa Ana, to-wit: <br /> <br />That the following portion of Olive Street be closed up and abandoned, <br /> <br />to-wit: <br /> <br /> The Easterly 20 feat of Olive Street as it exists between Eighth <br />Street and a line parallel to and distant 5 chains Southerly from the <br />center line thereof, as described in deed by Bertha SacPanan, rec0rdSd <br />in Book 22V, Page 300 of Deeds, Hecords of Orange County, California, <br />said portion of Olive Stre~:t being the Ea:~terly 20 fe~t of that portion <br />of Olive Street conveyed by John William Sack~nan and Gertrude E. Sacl~mn <br />by deed, recorded in Book 449, Page 198 of Officials Records, Records of <br />Orange County, California. <br /> <br /> <br />
