<br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
<br />OF SANTA ANA DEC~IRING THEIR INTENTION TO
<br />ORDER THE CLOSING UP AND ABANDONMENT OF A
<br />CERTAIN ALLEY THROUGH BLOCK "B" OF BAILEYtS
<br />ADDITION TO THE TOWN OF SANTA ANA, FHOM
<br />EVERGREEN STREET TO MINNIE STREET, BETWEEN
<br />FIRST STREET AND WALNUT STREET; DECLARING IT
<br />TO BE FOR THE PUBLIC INTEREST AND CONVENIENCE,
<br />AND FIXING THE TIME AND PLACE FOR HEARING
<br />OBJECTIONS TO SAID PROPOSED IMPHOV~ENT.
<br />
<br />The City Council of the City of Santa Ana, pursuant to the provisions
<br />
<br />of an Act of the Legislature of
<br />Act of 1889", approved March 6,
<br />declare as follows:
<br />
<br />the State of California, known as "Street Opening
<br />1889, and amendments thereto, do resolve and
<br />
<br /> SECTION 1. That the public interest and convenience requires the
<br /> closing up and abandonment of that certain alley in the City of Santa Ana as
<br /> hereinafter described, and it is ~he intention of the City Council of the City of
<br /> Santa Aha to order the following alley in said City to be closed up and abandoned,
<br /> to-wit:

<br /> That portion of an alley fourteen feet (14') wide in
<br /> Block "B" of Baileyls Addition to the Town of Santa Aha in
<br /> Orange County, California, as shown on map thereof recorded
<br /> in Book 21, page 12 of Miscellaneous Records of Los Angeles
<br /> County, extending from Minnie Street, as shown on said map,
<br /> to the Southerly prolongation of the West line of Lot 9 in
<br /> said Block "B".

<br /> All of which is more clearly shown on a certain map approved and adopted by the
<br /> City Council of the City of Santa Ana for said abandonment by Resolution No. 2372
<br /> on the 4th day of December, 1933.
<br />
<br /> SECTION 2. That the said City Council of the said City of Santa Ana
<br /> does further declare that the lots, lands or premises affected by the closing up
<br /> and abandonment of the above described alley and benefited by said improvement ar,
<br /> those certain parcels of real property described as follows:
<br />
<br /> Beginning at the Northwest Corner of Lot 9; thence
<br /> Southerly along the West line of said Lot 9 and the
<br /> Southerly prolongation thereof to the South line of Lot
<br /> 17; thence Easterly along the South line of Lots 17, 18,
<br /> 19, 20 and 21 to the Southeast corner of said Lot 21;
<br /> thence Northerly ~long the East line of Lot 21; its~'
<br /> northerly prolongation and the East line of Lot i to the
<br /> Northeast corner thereof; thence Westerly along the North
<br /> line of Lots i to 9 inclusive to the point of beginning.

<br /> SECTION 3. That the proceedings for the closing up of the aforesaid
<br />alley shall be had and taken under and in accordance with an Act of the Legislatu]
<br />of the State of California, designated and known as "~N ACT TO PROVIDE FOR LAYING
<br />OUT, OPENING, EXTENDING, WIDENING, STRAIGHTENING OR CLOSING UP IN WHOLE ~ IN PART
<br />OF ANY STREET, SQUARE, LANE, ALLEY, COURT OR PLACE WITHIN MUNICIPALITIES, TO
<br />CONDEMN AND ACQUIRE ANY AND ALL LAND AND PROPERTY NECESSARY OR CSNVENIENT FOR
<br />THAT PURPOSE", approved March 6, 1889, and amendments thereto.

<br /> SECTION 4. The Street Superintendent shall ca~ se to be conspicuously
<br />posted along the line of said contemplated work and improvement and at not more
<br />than 300 feet in distance apart, but not less than three in all, notices of the
<br />passage of this Resolution, in the form and manner as required by law; and he
<br />shall also cause a notice similar in substance, for a period of ten (10) days, to
<br />be published in the "Santa Ana Daily Evening Register", a daily newspaper publishe~
<br />and circulated and of general circulation in the City of Santa Ana, California, an(
<br />hereby designated for that purpose by the City Council, containing a statement of
<br />the fact of the passage of this resolution of intention, the date thereof, and
