RESOLUTION NO. 59'229 'DECLARING THE VACATION OF PORTIONS <br />OF S~.TZER, SUGAR, AND FAIRVIEW AVENUES, AND CLINTON <br />AND EELLO~GSTRRW. TS NEAR THE EAST BANK OF ~HE SANTA ANA RIVER <br /> <br />WHEREAS, heretofore on August 3, 1959, the City Council adopted <br /> <br />Resolution No. 59-208, declaring its intention to vacate those portions <br /> <br />of certain streets and avenues hereinbelow described, which said Reso- <br /> <br />lution was published and posted as required by law; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, public hearing was duly held on the lSth day of Febru- <br /> <br />ary, 1959, upon due notice in said Resolution, and said posted notices <br /> <br />contained. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the City Council of the <br /> <br />City of Santa Ana hereby finds from all the evidence submitted that <br /> <br />the portions of streets he reinbelow described are unnecessary for <br /> <br />present or prospective street purposes. <br /> <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: That the City Council hereby makes <br /> <br />its o~der vacating and abandoning for street purposes all of those <br /> <br />portions of streets in the City of Santa Ana, County of Orange, State <br /> <br />of Califomia, described as: <br /> <br />That portion of Smeltzer Avenue described as follows: <br /> <br /> That portion of Smeltzer Avenue bour~ed easterly by the west- <br />erly line of the Rsncho Santiago de Sm~ta Ana; and bounded <br />westerly by the easterly right-of-way line of the former New- <br />bert Protection District right-of-way for the channel of the <br />Santa Ana River; the center line of said Smeltzer Avenue being <br />on the South line of Section 15, Township 5 South, Range l0 <br />West, San Bernardino Base and Meridian. <br /> <br />That portion of Sugar Avenue described as follows: <br /> <br /> That portion of Sugar Avenue bounded easterly by the westerly <br />line of the Rancho S~tiago de Santa Ana; and bounded westerly <br />by the easterly right-of-way line of the former Newbert Pro- <br />tection District right-of-way for the channel of the Santa Ana <br />River; the center line of said Sugar Avenue being on the south <br />line of the north half of Section 15, Township 5 South, Range <br />10 West, San Bernardino Base and Meridian. <br /> <br />That ~ortion of FaZ~vi~w Avenue described as follows: <br /> <br /> Ooww, encing at the intersection of the center line of Fair- <br />view Avenue with the center line of Kello~Street as shown on <br />a map of a re-plat of Santa Ana Acres recorded in Book 5, Page <br />8, Miscellaneous Maps, Records of Orange County, California, <br />and r~nning thence South 0° ~7' 20" East along the southerly <br />extension~of said center line of Kello~gStreet 30.00 feet to <br />a point on the south line of said Fair view Avenue; thence South <br />89° 22, 28" West along said south line 359.20 feet to the true <br />point of beginning; thence westerly along the arc of a tangent <br />curve concave northerly having a radius of 1,042.00 feet to <br /> <br /> <br />
