RESOLUTION ~,0,. 2440 <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION UNDER EMINENT DOMAIN FOR WIDENING <br /> OF SOUTH MAIN.STREET IN THE CITY OF. SANT_ A ANA. <br /> <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA: <br /> That It is hereby determined and found by the City Council of the City <br />of Santa Ana that the public interest and necessity require the acquisition by the <br />City of Santa Ana of a public improvement consisting of the widening of South <br />Main Street in the City of Santa Anabetween Fairview Avenue and Edinger Street, <br />by the addition ~o said South Nain Street of a five (0) foot strip of property <br />on the Westerly side thereof, and the widening of South Eain Street from Edinger <br />Street to Delhi Road by the addition to such street of a seven (7) foot strip of <br />property on the Westerly side of said South Nain Street, and that the property <br />hereinafter described is necessary to be taken therefor; that all of such property <br />necessary to be taken is situated within the e~rporate limits of the City of <br />Santa Ana; that none of said property is now devoted to public use, and that all <br />of the property so taken will be taken for roads, highways, boulevards, streets <br />and alleys; and this Council further determines that a fee simple title to said <br />hereinafter described property is hereby determined to be necessary; <br /> <br />That the property necessary to be taken is described as follows, to-wit <br />parcel l: Commencing at the point of intersection of the center line <br />of Delhi Road with the Westerly property line of Nain Street projected; running <br />thence Westerly along the center line of Delhi Road a distance of seven (7) feet <br />to a point; running thence Northerly parallel to the Westerly line of South <br />Nain Street projected across intersecting streets and distant seven (7) feet <br />therefrom to the Center line of Edinger Street; running thence Easterly along the <br />center line of Edinger Street to the point of intersection of said center line <br />with the Westerly property line of South Nain Street projected; r~u~uing thence <br />Southerly along the Westerly property line of South Nain Street projected across <br />intersecting streets to the point of beginning; excepting therefrom all portions <br />of said property lying within any public streets or high~ays; <br /> <br />And also that certain property described as follows, to-wit: <br />Parcel 2~ Comnencing at the point of intersection of the Westerly <br />property line of South ~in Street projected, with the center line of Edinger <br />Street; running thence Westerly along the center line of Edinger Street a distanc, <br />of five (8) feet to a point; running thence Northerly parallel to and distant <br />five (0) feet from the Westerly line of South Nain Street projected, across <br />intersecting streets to the center line of Fairview Avenue; running thence <br />Easterly along the center line of Fairview Avenue to the point of intersection <br />with the Westerly line of South Nain Street projected; running thence Southerly <br />along the Westerly line of South Nain Street projected ~cross intersecting <br />~treets to the point of beginning; excepting therefrom all portions of said <br />property lying within any public streets or highways; <br /> <br /> That the City Engineer is hereby instructed and directed to purchase, <br />or acquire by eminent domain all of the above described property in the n~me of, <br />and on behalf of the City of Santa Ana, a municipal corporation, and to acquire <br />and obtain the necessary funds for such acquisition fr~u~un~e available therefor <br /> <br /> <br />
