RESOLUTION N0. 2496 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION CONCERNING PARKING LI~fITATIONS U[~DER <br /> ORDINANCE NO. 1030 <br /> <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF T}~'E CITY OF SANTA ANA, AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, by Resolution No. 2485 of the City Council of the City of Santa Ana <br />dated the 5th day of October, 1936, pursuant to the provisions of the Vehicle Code <br />of the State of California, and pursuant to the provisions of Ordinance No. 1030 of <br />the City of Santa Ana, entitled "An Ordinance Regulating the Use of Public Highways <br />Within Said City", adopted April 6, 1936, the City Council did declare that the follow. <br />lng curbs along the public highways in the City of Santa Ana shall be painted Green, <br />and shall bear a legend in white letters thereon indicating that the maximum time <br />limit for parking shall be twenty (20) minutes as provided in Subdivision (f) of <br />Section 9 of said Ordinance No. 1030, and the City ~ngineer was thereby directed to <br />cause said curb to be painted as above described on the following curbs, to-wit: <br /> <br /> BROAI~¥AY <br /> <br /> On the East side between Second and Third Streets, located as <br /> follows: <br /> The Southerly thirty !30) feet of the Northerly two hundred <br /> thirty-one (231) feet, <br /> <br /> AND, WHEREAS, it is the desire of this Council to abandon such time limit <br />parking zone; <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, be it resolved that the foregoing time limit parking zone <br />be and the same is hereby eliminated, and the City Engineer is hereby directed to <br />cause the paint on said curbs to be removed or covered. <br /> <br />BE IT FURTNER RESOLVED that whereas by Resolution No. 2486, passed and <br />adopted October 5, 1936, pursuant to said 0P~tinance No. 1030, certain freight loading <br /> <br />zones were established as follows, to-wit: <br /> <br />follows: <br /> <br /> SYCAEORE STREET <br /> <br />On the East side between Fourth and Third Streets, located as follows: <br /> <br /> The Southerly eighteen (18) feet of the Northerly two <br /> hundred forty (240) feet. <br /> <br /> ~[IRD STREET <br /> <br />On the North side between Eain Street and Sycamore Street, located as <br /> <br /> The Easterly forty-eight (48~-f~et of the Westerly fifty-five <br /> (55) feet. <br /> <br /> BROADWA¥ <br /> <br /> On the East side between Third Street and Fourth Street, located as follows: <br /> <br /> The Southerly twenty-four (24) feet of the Northerly two <br /> hundred thirty-three (233) feet. <br /> <br /> ~D, it is the desire of the City Council to abandon and eliminate certain <br />freight loading zones as above described; <br /> <br /> NOW, THERE2~0RE, be it resolved that the foregoing freight loading zones are <br />hereby eliminated, and the City Engineer is hereby directed to cause the paint on said <br />curbs to be removed or covered. <br /> <br /> BE IT FURTHER RE~0LVED that pursuant to said Ordinance No. 1030, the follow- <br />ing curbs along the public highways in the City of Santa Aha shall be painted Red, as <br />provided in Subdivision (e) of said Ordinance No. 1030, and the City Engineer is hereby1 <br />directed to cause said curbs to be painted Red, and to be marked with the words <br />"TAXICABS ONLY". <br /> <br />1 <br /> <br /> <br />
