RESOLUTION N0. 2496 RESOLUTION CONCERNING PARKING LI~fITATIONS U[~DER ORDINANCE NO. 1030 BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF T}~'E CITY OF SANTA ANA, AS FOLLOWS: WHEREAS, by Resolution No. 2485 of the City Council of the City of Santa Ana dated the 5th day of October, 1936, pursuant to the provisions of the Vehicle Code of the State of California, and pursuant to the provisions of Ordinance No. 1030 of the City of Santa Ana, entitled "An Ordinance Regulating the Use of Public Highways Within Said City", adopted April 6, 1936, the City Council did declare that the follow. lng curbs along the public highways in the City of Santa Ana shall be painted Green, and shall bear a legend in white letters thereon indicating that the maximum time limit for parking shall be twenty (20) minutes as provided in Subdivision (f) of Section 9 of said Ordinance No. 1030, and the City ~ngineer was thereby directed to cause said curb to be painted as above described on the following curbs, to-wit: BROAI~¥AY On the East side between Second and Third Streets, located as follows: The Southerly thirty !30) feet of the Northerly two hundred thirty-one (231) feet, AND, WHEREAS, it is the desire of this Council to abandon such time limit parking zone; NOW, THEREFORE, be it resolved that the foregoing time limit parking zone be and the same is hereby eliminated, and the City Engineer is hereby directed to cause the paint on said curbs to be removed or covered. BE IT FURTNER RESOLVED that whereas by Resolution No. 2486, passed and adopted October 5, 1936, pursuant to said 0P~tinance No. 1030, certain freight loading zones were established as follows, to-wit: follows: SYCAEORE STREET On the East side between Fourth and Third Streets, located as follows: The Southerly eighteen (18) feet of the Northerly two hundred forty (240) feet. ~[IRD STREET On the North side between Eain Street and Sycamore Street, located as The Easterly forty-eight (48~-f~et of the Westerly fifty-five (55) feet. BROADWA¥ On the East side between Third Street and Fourth Street, located as follows: The Southerly twenty-four (24) feet of the Northerly two hundred thirty-three (233) feet. ~D, it is the desire of the City Council to abandon and eliminate certain freight loading zones as above described; NOW, THERE2~0RE, be it resolved that the foregoing freight loading zones are hereby eliminated, and the City Engineer is hereby directed to cause the paint on said curbs to be removed or covered. BE IT FURTHER RE~0LVED that pursuant to said Ordinance No. 1030, the follow- ing curbs along the public highways in the City of Santa Aha shall be painted Red, as provided in Subdivision (e) of said Ordinance No. 1030, and the City Engineer is hereby1 directed to cause said curbs to be painted Red, and to be marked with the words "TAXICABS ONLY". 1
