<br /> RESOLUTION CONCERNING TAX-DEEDED LANDS AND REPLACING S~ME ON TAX ROELS
<br />
<br /> (Fourth Purchase)
<br />
<br /> WHEREAS, Section 389Vd of the Political Code of the State of California
<br /> as amended, provides among other things, that whenever any property has been
<br /> deeded for delinquent t~xes and/or assessments to the State of California, and
<br /> said property is subject to a lien which constitutes a deed, under sections
<br /> 3897.3 and 389Vd of the Political Codc, for delinquent taxes and/or assessments
<br /> to any municipality, and such lien baa been in existence for at least five years,
<br /> the governing body of said municipality may enter into an agreement with the
<br /> Board of Supervisors in the County in which said property is situated, subject
<br /> to the approval of the State Controller, for the purchase of, or for the option
<br /> to purchase the property so held by the State, or any part or parts thereof; and
<br />
<br /> WHEREAS, all of the Three Hundred and Eighty (380) lots or parcels of
<br />property hereinafter mentioned and described in the proposed agreement dated
<br />March 6, 1939, are wholly within the City limits of the City of Santa Aha, in
<br />the County of Orange, State of California, and are now delinquent for city taxes
<br />and for county taxes, or for public improvement assessments of the City of Santa
<br />Ana, ~nd further, all of said lots or parcels of land hereafter described in
<br />said agreement aforesaid, have been deeded to the State of California, for
<br />non-payment of County taxes, and are subject to a lien for delinquent taxes and/o:
<br />assessments of the City of Santa Ana, which has been in existence for at least
<br />five years, and has not been paid~ and which lien constitutes a deed for delinquer
<br />taxes witl~in the meaning of SectiOns 389Vd and 389V.3 of the Political Code, and
<br />
<br /> WHEREAS, there has this day been presented to the City Council of the
<br />City of Santa Aha a plan marked Exhibit "A" dated February 15th, 1939, under
<br />which it is expected to return to the City tax rolls and to the County tax
<br />rolls all that certain real property situated in the City of Santa Aha, County
<br />of Orange, State of California, and being more particularly described and set
<br />forth in said agreement hereto attached and made a part hereof; and
<br />
<br /> WHEREAS, there is now presented to the City Council of the City of
<br />Santa Aha, said agreement, a copy of which is annexed and mar~ed ~bi~
<br />dated the 6th day of March, 1939, wherein the Board of Supervisors of the County
<br />of Orange, State of California, acting under the authority granted to it by
<br />Section 389Vd of the Political Code of the State c~ California, therein designate
<br />as the Seller, and the City Council of the City of Santa ~na, acting under the
<br />authority granted to it by Sections 3897d and 3897.3 of the Political Code of
<br />the State of California, is designated as the Buyer, wherein the said Buyer
<br />agrees, among other things, to purchase, all of said delinquent tax lots, more
<br />particularly described in said agreement, for the sum of Three Hundred Eighty
<br />($380.00) Dollars cash, lawful money of the United States of America, said
<br />agreement, however, to be subject to the approval of the State Controller of said
<br />State, and subject and pursuant in all respects to Sections 3897d and 3S9Vi3 of
<br />the Political Code of the State of California.

<br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of
<br />Santa Aha sp proves the Plan No. 5, dated the 15th day of February, 1939, submitte
