RESOLUTION NO. 2666

<br /> RESOLUTION OVERRULING PROTESTS OR OBJECTIONS
<br /> TO REPORT OF STREET SUPERINTENDF~T, APPROVING
<br /> REPORT, AND ORDERING A COPY THEHEOF FILED WITH
<br /> THE TAX COLLECTOR.
<br />
<br />BE IT RESOEVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA:
<br />
<br /> WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Santa Aha did, on the third
<br />day of April, 1939, pass Resolution No. 2643, determining and declaring that weeds
<br />which bear seeds of a wingy or downy nature and which attain such a large growth
<br />as to bec~me a fire menace when dry and which are noxious and dangerous, were
<br />growing upon the streets, sidewalks and private property in the City of Santa Aha,
<br />described in the itemized report submitted herewith; and
<br />
<br /> WHEREAS, on the first day of May, 1939, the City Council further passed
<br />Resolution No. 2653, ordering the Street Superintendent of said City to abate such
<br />public nuisance; and
<br />
<br /> WHEREAS, the said Street Superintendent has given notice as required by
<br />law, in which notice the 3rd day of July, 1939, at the hour of V:30 P.M. was fixed
<br />as the time, and the Council Chamber of the City Hall of said City as the place,
<br />where any and all persons interested in the said report might be heard; and
<br />
<br /> WHEREAS, on the 28th day of June, 1939, the Governor of the State of
<br />California proclaimed July 3, 1939, to be a legal holiday, and a meeting of said
<br />City Council was thereupon continued to 7:30 o~clock P.M. on the first business
<br />day thereafter, to-wit, July 5, 1939, and
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, at the time set the Street Superintend~t submitted the said
<br />report, and all of said protests or objections to said report having been heard; al
<br />
<br /> IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Santa Aha that
<br />all of said protests or objections to the said report of the work done, be and
<br />the same are hereby overruled and the report affirmed, and that the Street Super-
<br />intendent be, and he is hereby directed to file a copy of said report with the
<br />'A'ax Collector.

<br /> PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Santa Aha, at its
<br />regular meeting held on the 5th day of July, 1939.
