RESOLUTION NO. 59-3o? ~- AUTHORIZING JOINT ACTION WITH T~ <br />ORANGE COUNTY S~---~0N DISTRICTS ALLOWING SANTA ANA TO <br />AUTHORIZE SAID DISTRICTS TO HAVE CERTAIN AREAS PAVED AT <br />CITY EXPENSE <br /> <br /> WHERFAS, heretefore the Orange County Sanitation Districts <br />published notice inviting bids, publicly opened bids submitted, and <br />awarded a bid to Vido Artukovich & Son, Inc. as the lowest and best <br />bidder, this work being for the placing of a tx~n~ sewer in Newhope <br />Street, and certain paving on said Street; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, while tais paving is being done the City desires <br />certain additional work w~tch, after negotiation, the Orange County <br />Sanitation Districts and said contractor have agreed to include under <br />said Districts' contract, at fixed unit prices; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Santa Ana Department of Public Works has recom- <br />mended that the unit prices for paving and placing U. R. B. are <br />advantagous to the City and that City can obtain a better price by <br />Joining in the larger overall contract t~an by having a small amount <br />of work done by a different contractor nmtpresently located, and <br />working on Newhope Street, or in the area. <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the City Council of the <br />City of Santa Ana hereby approves the details of the negotiation <br />and agreement between said City and the Orsnge County Sanitation <br />Districts, and Vido Artukovic~ & Son, Inc., whereby said Sanitation <br />Districts are to authorize said contractor as an extra addition to <br />his contract to do certain work which is not presently required as <br />an extra for and at the request of the City of Santa Ana at the <br /> <br />unit prices of: <br /> <br /> 3" PNS -- ~0.13/ square feet <br /> 6" URB = ~0.14/ square feet <br /> <br /> TOTAL COST OF PAVING $0.27/ square feet <br /> <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: That the City of Santa Aha hereby <br />joins with said Orange County Sanitation Districts for the accom- <br />plishment of the work of the extras required by t~e City, and <br />agrees to pay to said Orange County Sanitation Districts an amount <br />not to exceed $27,000.00, w~ich said amount is to be computed on <br /> <br /> <br />
