Pd~OLUTION NO. ~,:~22 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />SANTA ANA REQUESTING THE CO~TY OF ORANGE <br />TO INCLUDE WITHIN THE ARTERIAL HIGHWAY <br />FINANCING PROGRAM THE DE1FELOPME~T OF <br />BOLSA AV~OE. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Santa Aha desires to improve Bolsa Avenue <br />Harbor Boulevar~ to 600! West of Ma~i.n~e S~9~, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Bolsa Avenue is an important artery in the County of Orange and <br />of general Comity interest, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Article 2 and Article 3, Chapter 9, Division 2 of the Streets and <br />Highways Code authorizes a County, if it so desires, to expend fronds apportioned <br />to it out of the Califon~ia Highway Users Tax Frond for aid to any City in the <br />improvement, construction or repair of a street within a City, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Board of Supervisors intends to, ~y appropriate action, provide <br />in the County budget of the Special Road Improvement Fund for the Fiscal Year <br />1960-61 a sum of money for the improvement of streets within the incorporated <br />cities of the County in accordance with the Orange County Arterial Highway <br />Financing Program. <br /> <br /> NOW THEREFORE, BE IT P~OLVED that the Council of the City of Santa Aha <br />hereby requests the Board of Supervisors of the County of Orange to allocate <br />to said City from County Fends the amount of $63,000.00, said amount to be <br />matched by ~mnds from said City, to be used to aid said City in the i~provement <br />of Bolsa Avenue from Harbor Boulevard to 600~ west of Maxine Street, and for the <br />acquisition of necessary rights of way$ said improvements and acquisition of <br />rights of way to be in accordance with the attached project statement; <br /> <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Board of Supervisors of the County of Orange <br />is hereby requested to find that said work and acquisition of rights of way on <br />Bolsa Avenue, in the manner provided, is in the general County interest. <br /> <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that, by this Resolution, the City of Santa Aha <br />agrees with the basic concepts of the Arterial Highways Financing Program; and <br />furhter agrees that its share of the cost of improvements and rights of way will <br />be available for the fiscal year 1960-61. <br /> <br /> <br />
