RESOLUTION NO. _19:32-3 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />SANTA ANA REQUESTING THE COUNTY OF ORANGE <br />TO INCLUDE WITHIN THE ARTERIAL HIGHWAY <br />FINANCING PROGRAM THE DEVELOPMENT OF FIFTH <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Santa Aha desires to improve Fifth Street from Harbor <br />Boulevard to the Santa Aha River, and ~-~ -- <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Fifth Street is an important artery in the County of Orange and of <br />general County interest, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Article 2 and Article 3, Chapter 9, Division 2 of the Streets and <br />Highways Cede authorizes a County. if it so desires, to expend funds apportioned <br />to it out of the California Highway Users Tax Fund for aid to any City in the <br />improvement, construction or repair of a street within a City, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Board of Supervisors intends to, by appropriate action, provide <br />in the County budget of the Special Road Improvement Fund for the Fiscal Year <br />1960-61 a sum of money for the improvement of streets within the incorporated <br />cities of the County in accordance with the Orange County Arterial Highway <br />Financing Program. <br /> <br /> NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESoL~Eo that the Council of the City of Santa Arm <br />here~y requests the Board of Supervisors of the County of Orange to allocate to <br />said City from County Funds the amount of $6~,850.00, said amount to be matched <br />by flmds from said City. to be used to aid said City in the improvement of Fifth <br />Street from Harbor Boulevard to the Santa Ama River, and for the acquisition of <br />necessary rights of way; said improvements and acquisition of rights of w~y to <br />be in accordance with the attached project statement; <br /> <br /> BE IT FIPRTHER i{ESOLVED that the B~ard of Supervisors of the County of Orange <br />is hereby requested to find that said work and acquisition of rights of wa~ on <br />Fifth Street, in the manner provided, is in the general County interest. <br /> <br /> BE IT FURTHER F~SOLVED that, by this Resolution, the City of Santa Aha agrees <br />with the basic concepts of the Arterial Highways Financing Program; and further <br />agrees that its share of the cost of improvements and rights of way will be <br />available for the fiecal year 1960-61. <br /> <br /> <br />
