RESOLUTION OF THE COUNOIL OF THE CITY OF <br />SANTA ANA ~EQUESTING THE COUNTY OF oRANGE <br />TO INCLUDE WITHIN ?HE ARTERIAL HIGHWAY <br />FINANCING PROGRAM THE Ds.~hOPMENT OF <br />FAIR~IEW STREET, <br /> <br /> WHE~, the City of Santa Aha desires to improve Fairview Street ~f~r~ <br />Fifth Street to Westminster Avenue. and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Fairview Street is an important artery in the County of Orange <br />and of general County interest, amd <br /> <br /> WHEREA~, Article 2 and Article 3, Chapter 9, Division 2 of the Streets and <br />Highways Cede authorizes a County. if it so desires, to expend fronds apportioned <br />to it o~t of the California Highway Users Tax Fund for aid to any City in the <br />improvement, construction or repair of a street within a City. and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Board of Supervisors intends to. by appropriate action, provide <br />in the County budget of the Special Road Improvement Fund for the Fiscal Year <br />1960-61 a sum of money for the improvement of streets within the incorporated <br />cities of the County in accordance with the Orange County Arterial Highway <br />Financing Program. <br /> <br /> NOW THEREFORE. BE IT RESOLVED that the Council of the Ci~ of Santa Aha <br />hereby requests the Board of Supervisors of the County of Orange to allocate <br />to said City from County Fronds the amount of $51,000.00. said amount to be <br />matched by fronds from said City, to be used to aid said City in the improvement <br />of Fairview Street from Fifth Street to Westminster Avenue, and for the acquisi- <br />tion of necessary rights of way; said improvements and acquisition of rights of <br />way to..be in accordance with the attached project statement; <br /> <br /> BE IT FURTNER ~ESOLVED that the Board of Supervisors of the County of Orange <br />is hereby requested to find that said work and acquisition of rights of wey om <br />Fairview Street, in the manner provided, is in the general County intereste <br /> <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that, by this Resolution, the City of Santa Aha agrees <br />with the basic concepts of the Arterial Highways Financing Program; and further <br />agrees that its share of the cost of improvements and rights of way will be <br />available for the fiscal year 1960-61. <br /> <br /> <br />
